WGU PRE-LICENSURE HOUSTON OCTOBER 2019

Hello,

My name is Bethanie. I'm fairly new to this site. I was just interested in seeing if anyone has applied to the Oct 2019 cohort in Houston, TX for WGU. Pretty much all of my pre-reqs have been completed and I know the deadline to submit everything is August 1st.

No not Yet i think it goes out today or next week, that’s what admission said. Have you talked to anyone from the school?

It feels like you and I are the only people here on allnurses that applied to WGU HTX Oct 1st on this site. And I only know of about 2 others on the Facebook group (you should join if you haven’t).

I was told that they haven’t finalized the selections yet but I was told this yesterday. Hopefully we do hear something back today or next week. What are your stats?

My gpa was a 3.3

Teas scores 80

With pretty much have the same stats accept I made a 90% on the TEAS. I’m trying to get in to Houston or one of the neighboring cohorts. Someone from the support group just told me that she got accepted into a Lufkin cohort for October 1st.

Actually I just received news from Ms. Grace in the prelicensure program that they’ve decided to cancel the Oct 1st Houston cohort. The next one is December 1st.

I was told that it's because the hospital we would've been doing clinicals at isn't ready for a cohort at this time. I also have reason to believe that maybe a lot of people didn't apply for the Oct 1st start date. I know for a fact that more people are applying for December 1st.
