Creating a 2021 Houston thread. Has anyone applied or been accepted to the pre-licensure June or July cohort?

@jrich21 Will do. Thank you so much for your help?

@cynohey did you get into the Woodlands cohort?

Hey, I hope y’all are doing well. I had quick question. How long did y’all wait in the Qualified for Consideration-in Review” phase and get accepted?

@jrich21 How's the program so far??? Do you like it? Any regrets? I starting my first term very soon and I'm very nervous ngl.

finally submitted all requirements, and now just waiting to be cleared. Can you all tell me how long is the wait? I have picked the start date to be July 1 in Houston.

I know they picked for May already, so the wait time depends on that. I was accepted only 6 weeks before my starting date and then I know a few that were picked months in advance. Also with the new program changes students aren't placed in clinical locations durning acceptance phase so it would be faster to accept new students. I still don't know what hospital my clinicals are at and labs start after the first term ends.

Just make sure if you have questions or take advice from anyone make sure they were accepted after February 2023. The new program is very different in terms of classes and schedules. I don't want you to get confused. I started in March so I'll be more than happy to help.

Thank you so much

My start date was July 1 but now they said I am pushed to October 1? Any one else experiencing the same?

Starting July, the acceptance cohorts will be every 3 months. It will no longer be every month. It seems they already picked for July, maybe that's why they told you October. I know it's disheartening to hear your pushed back, but you'll eventually will be accepted.

My EC asked me to join Baumont instead of Houston? Houston is becoming super competitive.

Anyone here doing the prelicensure with Beaumont. TIA
