Creating a 2021 Houston thread. Has anyone applied or been accepted to the pre-licensure June or July cohort?

I applied for June/July cohort. Waiting on a call or email for denial or acceptance. I think I was told they would be calling students this week or next week.

I became eligible in Feb. I too am trying to get in a June/July cohort for Houston. I am hoping we all here something soon.

They said they are doing a June, July and august cohort classes, ten students per cohort.

If you don't mind me asking which hospitals are you looking at? I am hoping to get Memorial Herman Sugar Land or Methodist. I wasn't aware that it's only 10 students per cohort.

I hope Herman’s or anything in Pearland ?. Yes 10 per cohort and they told me that they was gonna start calling this week or next week.

Hope we get selected for June cohort classes, but do you know how they selected students? I am hearing that those who failed out the last cohort may get selected for June cohort.

Honestly I am not sure how it will work. I know my counselor has been kind of pushing Methodist for me since I work there. I don't think it would be fair though for us trying to get in to possibly be bumped for those who failed out.

Students who fail out of the program are NOT eligible for readmission. (I work for WGU)

I haven’t been told about any hospital selection. I only was told to wait to be pick for June cohort. Is there a website to see or who all they pick for June?

I don’t believe there is a way to tell. When I spoke with my counselor I inquired so she was able to tell me which hospitals are participating in the upcoming cohorts and I advised of my preference, but I also advised would go to anyone  if I can’t get my preference. I’ll update the post when I hear something back.
