WGU Houston 2021

Nursing Students Western Governors

Updated:   Published

Creating a 2021 Houston thread. Has anyone applied or been accepted to the pre-licensure June or July cohort?

Are there any hard classes the first semester that you know of from your friends?

So there are two separate cohorts starting in June for Houston? One in medical center and one in sugar land?

I think there will be quite a few because I was also advised of LBJ and they are in neither area.

OK ?, crossing my fingers it’s today hehe. What kind of nurse you think you may want to be? what you want to do with your nursing degree?

I’m crossing my fingers too. I would love to be a nicu nurse, but I also have my eye on ER, ICU, and labor and delivery. Ultimately though I would like to be a Nurse practitioner and I’m so glad finally has a program for it. What about you ?

I think I want to go into labor and delivery or emergency medicine. I would love to be a nurse practitioner and that’s ultimately my goal.

My friends in the program now say it is hard, but there is plenty of support if they need it. Hearing the great things people say about is making me even more anxious to get into the program and get started.

I think I’ll go to the PICU first then the ER. Maybe after we all finish we can try NP together.

You guys already took biochemistry, pharmacology, and Health Statistics?
