Western Governors University (WGU) BSN Prelicensure

Updated:   Published

Hey y'all! Im starting a Lufkin cohort for WGU BSN Prelicensure. I am admitted to the program, due to start 6/1. If anyone is in the same or similar boat, I would love to connect! Im currently a LVN and have learned that nursing school survival is easier with studybuddies. I don't know what to fully expect from WGU, considering it's a fully online program but it would be cool to see y'all at clinicals:)

Starting in Lufkin too on 6/1! I'll have one term (pre reqs) before I start the nursing terms.

Me too!! My A&P expired and I need pathophysiology. I just got cleared to start and am waiting for orientation to open up on Monday. I'm anxiously waiting to dive in and get it going LOL

Hey guys I am about to apply. But my HESI score was a 79. Is this acceptable? It got me into my LVN program and this one apparently isn't competitive from what I heard.

79 is acceptable. My understanding is acceptance is pretty simple, but your start date may be affected by your clinical location. For example, Dallas and Houston are metro areas and a lot of students pick those sites, so their start dates may be delayed or have to go through a more tedious selection, versus areas that aren't saturated. Your admissions counselor can give you the full run down, I had Ash and she was great, answered all my questions (and I had a ton). I have my LVN as well, and my AS, but keep in mind that your LVN classes do not transfer. Only pre reqs..

@Babynurse22 where did you end up taking Pathophysiology?
