Westminster CRNA 2020

Published

Hey all! I have submitted my application to Westminster CRNA for 2020! I have talked to the school and they said that we should be hearing about interviews in October. Anybody else apply or waiting to hear from another school?

My denial letter came on Oct 16

my biggest advice is to research research research lots of programs especially if you’re willing to move and apply to multiple programs. Find a program that seems to support their students and provides good clinical experiences. don’t let the number of applicants the school usually gets and how many they take scare you from applying! If you want something go for it! It’s a process but the more you apply for the better your chances. Just have to keep in mind the money it will take to get to all potential interviews. This was my second year applying. My first year I only applied to one but knew my chances were slim with my minimal ICU experience. I studied CCRN content and researched all the types of CRNA interview questions I could find. No one interviews perfectly but convey how you want this, have prepared for this, and are ready for this!

Has anyone emailed or called admissions or is everyone just planning to wait for the mail?

We haven’t chatted with them since before the new decision to add an interview date on Monday or since their Facebook post. Are you planning on it?

I’m waitlisted as well.
She said only 20 people go on the waitlist each year and that they cannot share right now where we are currently but in January she will be able to share where we are on the list.
Not sure why January but trying to stay hopeful.

20 people?? Unbelievable, I would rather have been told no then be #20 and have false hope.

I’ve always heard the mantra no news is good news a.k.a. until a rejection there is still hope but I definitely see your point ha ha especially with the info that they won’t give the waitlist at a definitive know until the start date of class next August 19… I’ve heard of people getting excepted a week in advance talk about that craziness!I’ve always heard the mantra no news is good news a.k.a. until a rejection there is still hope but I definitely see your point ha ha especially with the info that they won’t give the waitlist at a definitive know until the start date of class next August 19… I’ve heard of people getting excepted a week in advance talk about that craziness!
