Westminster CRNA 2020

Hey all! I have submitted my application to Westminster CRNA for 2020! I have talked to the school and they said that we should be hearing about interviews in October. Anybody else apply or waiting to hear from another school?

Did they give anyone any updated info similar to the class size? I’ve been pretty confused. I know I’m years past they’ve interviewed throughout October and November/ December but I got off the phone with a staff member prior to applying and I thought I heard they were only interviewing October 14-16 (Obviously not true ? As of now ) and then they mentioned During my interview they were going to have final decisions Made the following week of October 21st and that they only interviewed 65/180. But my rough math of 20 minute ish interviews starting at 0800 Monday -Wednesday easily covers 65. I know there’s a ton going on with the doctoral program coming up so I was just curious if any public information has come out. It’s awesome 24 will be in- that looks like more than in past years! Hope everyone had an awesome interview today- congrats everyone.

That’s awesome, I felt the same. Judging from previous posts I was kind of expecting them to be impersonal and rapid fire with clinical questions and mine was very personal although filled with great clinical questions. I feel like I couldn’t have done anything different so I am okay with that.

Yes, today they stated they will be accepting 24 students out of the 200+ that they said applied. If you follow them on Facebook they already posted that they have chosen their 24, so we are just waiting to hear at this point.
And as far as only interviewing oct 14-16, they said today that they did not pick their full 24 from that group so they wanted to give more applicants a shot so they did another round of interviews, completely unexpected.
But they did tell me today we should know by the end of the week-beginning of next week.

This is perfect! Thank you for the clarification. I guess I should have done more social media-ing- I didn’t even know they had a Facebook. I was confused by all of the differing opinions but didn’t know there was a location that they were updating applicants.

Yes I was expecting rapid fire too but I really enjoyed talking to them! I hope you get it ? also there’s a clinical site in Birmingham!

Has anybody that interviewed in the last round been given a decision yet? If so, how did they let you know? Announcing the decision on FB before letting all the applicants know yay or nay seems harsh! Congrats to anyone who has been accepted!!!

I interviewed October 14th and haven’t heard anything yet.

I interviewed last round and was told by one of the interviewers that they would be sending decisions via mail. Not sure how accurate that is because I feel like usually it’s via phone. I might email them since they did post it on Facebook.

I heard something similar but that seemed a little dated to me... I know they did some rejections via snail mail but Not sure about acceptances especially if they called 80 ish or so for interviews, why not 24 for acceptances?

That’s what I was thinking too, honestly. Seems a littler nicer than making us all wait so long for mail to deliver. Tempted to email admissions and see what the plan is but it’s also only been a few days.

Any idea how many interviewed this past Monday? According to their facebook post it looks like the decisions were made Monday evening - I suppose if it is snail mail and rejections were sent out at the earliest Tuesday AM it will be awhile.
