I was recently accepted (on December 19th) to the WesternU MSN-E program that begins in Fall 2009. I was told in my letter that an interview was not needed--has anyone else been accepted to this program yet?
I know that this university is not well known so I have been doing a lot more research on the pros and cons of attending. Does anyone have any helpful information that they could pass along?
I know that the MSN portions are done mostly online--how do you think future employers will see this style of learning?
I'd appreciate any help that is available as I make this decision!
I also applied to Western University for next year and i recently called them to check my status since i haven't heard from them. The lady in admissions told me they have been trying to get a hold on me to set an interview with me. So if you haven't heard from Western yet, i would def call them because their interview dates are soon.
I'm still waiting too. I tried not to get my hopes up because this was the first school I had applied to, but really wanted to go there!
I called last week and they said they were notifying applicants last week and this week. They are having interviews the 23rd, 24th, and 30th. So maybe if we get called this week our interview will be the 30th?
I only applied to Western this year I hope we get a call but I know my application wasn't very good this year (there was a F on there that was a mistake.. it's not on there anymore, but I know it hurt my GPA). I'll keep hoping for us.. let me know if you hear anything soon! Good luck!
i still haven't received anything.. i was just hoping that they were getting to me late because my application was sent in late for review.. i applied to samuel merritt, csula, csuf and i will be applying to csulb.. hopefully i'll get into one of those schools but probably i'll have to reapply for next year.. i hope we get a call soon
Omg I feel the same way. Ever since my friend texted me to let me know she's gotten a call, I've been anxious and so stressed out. I thought my apps were good this year, but maybe not as good as I thought. I was really hoping to get in because I went to an info session and met their staff. Everyone was sooo nice and approachable, I felt like I fit right in! I'm staring at my cell phone all the time now...LoL
I just received a call for an interview on the 30th!! but since I totally had given up and had no preparation whatsoever I asked to reschedule it to the 12th of february... I'm just worried now that I'll have a lesser chance of getting in because I'm interviewing on the last date ..
all - know that this is a great program! i was accepted 5 years ago, but found out i was pregnant (high-risk) prior to the start of the program and gave up my seat i am now starting over in an area that does not have grad entry msn and i am now pursuing Accelerated BSN.
western is a phenomenal school - good luck to you all!
