WesternU MSN-E Fall 2009 Acceptances

Hi all!

I was recently accepted (on December 19th) to the WesternU MSN-E program that begins in Fall 2009. I was told in my letter that an interview was not needed--has anyone else been accepted to this program yet?

I know that this university is not well known so I have been doing a lot more research on the pros and cons of attending. Does anyone have any helpful information that they could pass along?

I know that the MSN portions are done mostly online--how do you think future employers will see this style of learning?

I'd appreciate any help that is available as I make this decision!

The waiting is the WORST! (or so we all think right now; i'm guessing nclex studying may be a doozy, too )

I'm going into the FNP program--I can't wait!!

I'd like to do FNP although I hope to work in pediatrics mostly.

were you guys done with all the pre-reqs before you applied?

Yes, I had finished all of the pre-reqs before I applied. I just graduated with a science degree so it was easier for me to fit all those science classes into my schedule.

I still have 2 classes left that I am taking in the spring.

i feel like they will accept everyone who finished all their pre-reqs first.

When I went to the orientation, one of the current students said she was accepted with 4 or 5 prereqs to finish.

Have you heard anything? I am still waiting to hear of an acceptance or denial.

nope, haven't heard anything yet. i did 3 pre-reqs in the fall (which were not on my application) and i still have microbio lab to do in the spring. they said they would call if we get an interview.
