Hey, guys I didn't see a thread for this new application cycle. How many of you guys have submitted your applications? Have you heard anything back?

Embarrassed to say this, but I submitted it the day of!

Congratulations to everyone that received interview invites and/ or acceptance to other schools. I was rejected and I reached out to Alberto to ask for feedback on how to make my myself a more competitive applicant for next time around. I already knew my GPA was on the lower side but I still decided to apply.

He said , "Based on the notes from the faculty, it is recommended to increase your GPA's above 3.00. Your cumulative GPA was calculated at 2.89 and 2.90 for your last 60 semester units. On the other hand, you had strong letters of recommendation and your writing skills were excellent.

This cycle we received close to 700 applications: as a result, it significantly made the applicant pool more competitive".

How can I raise my GPA? Do I continue taking other science classes?

Hi!!

So I had a 2.99 undergrad GPA got rejected the first time around but I retook my core classes for nursing at my local community college and got a 3.9 GPA. I worked for a pharmaceutical company for a year and then got a job at a hospital. I recommend retaking some of your core nursing classes at a community college to strengthen your science GPA.

@ji14 Thanks for responding! I'll focus on retaking some courses.

I just made sure I got As in my science prereqs. I retook Anatomy to raise my B- to an A. I volunteered at my local hospital and became an EMT. Did you partake in a lot of extra-curriculars?

So how is everyone preparing for the interview?

Is there anyone here who still hasn’t heard back at all? I’m holding on until the end of this week but the anticipation is killing me

I also haven't heard anything yet >.<

I haven't heard back either. I called yesterday and they told me we would hear back by tonight at the very latest... but I'm not so sure anymore because its already almost 8pm

They gave me an update today! So apparently they will be sending out emails of acceptances this Friday at 3pm! I believe it’s only for those who attended EOA though so I’m crossing my fingers!!

I also haven’t heard anything. I emailed Alberto today and he said “decisions and interviews will be sending today and tomorrow” so hopefully those of us who haven’t heard back hear back by tomorrow!

Yeah I haven’t heard anything I just want them to tell me I’m rejected at this point. The waiting is killing me. Maybe covid made them take longer since they are working from home? Any idea anyone?
