Hey, guys I didn't see a thread for this new application cycle. How many of you guys have submitted your applications? Have you heard anything back?

Because we're all prospective nursing students, this might be alarming, but please do not let it, in fact, alarm you:

I inquired about the 30 minute writing prompt on the website for those who are attending the early opportunity day. And now I no longer see the writing prompt listed as one of the requirements on the 'preparing for your interview' page. So, I think they took that out after I inquired. So, you're  welcome? Ha!

can you link me that page? I didn't realize there was one.

Nevermind found it

Havent heard anything yet either! I definitely thought we would hear something back by now.

Has anyone on this thread received a rejection letter yet?

FYI EOA felt like orientation more than anything and they basically hinted those invited to EOA is 99.9% offered a seat. be prepared to have an elevator speech! a little about yourself and why you want to be a nurse.

they said regular interview dates will be mid February. so I don’t think rejection/acceptances for non EOA applicants  won’t be till end of February

Some people already got rejection letters? I think possibly those who did get rejection letters it was done via automatic computer screening - I could be wrong. That is, possibly their undergrad GPA did not meet the cut off via the system. I know that happens quite often with medical school applications and some nursing programs, too. I think it's weird how some people got rejection notices but no one so far has gotten any acceptances ?

I still haven't heard anything since the email about the information session that I got in November. I got invited for an interview for CBU's EL MSN program. I would really prefer WesternU since it's a lot closer to my home and I'm more interested in their PMHNP program. Fingers crossed for the non-EOA applicants!

they will prob wait to see how many EOA accepts and base off how many seats are left will extend to non EOA. I’m mostly likely will reject my offer because I don’t think I can handle the cost ?

Are you a current RN? Because I don’t think Western has a direct entry NP Program unless I’m wrong

No. I would be applying to the post-master's program after completing the MSN-E program and working for a year.

Ah, got it. Yeah, Western is 20 min from my parents’ house and so their program would save me a ton of money since I’d probably be living at their home. But I’m leaning towards direct entry NP programs
