Hey, guys I didn't see a thread for this new application cycle. How many of you guys have submitted your applications? Have you heard anything back?

Don’t lose hope everyone! My GPA was way lower than a 3.5 and I got an Early Acceptance Opportunity invitation.

If you don’t mind me asking, what were your stats?

Specializes in Dialysis.

I'm just curious when you guys submitted your application, did you receive a confirmation beside the application payment?

Hello everyone, I’m new to this platform! I received the Early Acceptance Opportunity Day a couple of days ago and will be attending it...however I’m now between two schools-WesternU and APU ELMSN program. I don’t know which one will be best for me...does anyone have some advice?

Congrats! I went to APU for undergrad and just graduated in December! I can't speak too much on the ELMSN program itself but I can say that the instructors were amazing! I started in the nursing program and changed my major after a year, but the nursing department is really great. If you had any questions about the school itself I may be able to answer them! ?

I haven't gotten anything since the payment confirmation for my application. I got an invite to an information session, though.

for me I would make my decision on price at that point. I believe they are very similar in stats. Whats the total program for APU?

The cool thing about APU is that it’s a direct entry to the FNP program(meaning you don’t need to reapply like Western) The average total cost for APU ranges from $86k-100k (Thats including FNP certification) but I know WesternU is more well known than Azusa.

I would choose apu! you’ll pay more than double for western! wow that’s amazing I wished I looked into APU LOL

Undergrad GPA was a 3.2, but my science GPA/prerequisite was a 3.7 (A’s and B’s), failed one class but retook it and got an A...3 years of volunteer experience at a hospital...2 years of volunteer leadership, and 3 retail jobs during undergrad (worked during different years, not all 3 jobs at once), got CNA license and CPR certificate . Let me know if you have any questions! ?

Yeah that’s where I’m leaning towards too...it’s not too late! They accept applications 3 times throughout the year!

Oof my undergrad GPA was a 2.5... but prereq GPA was a 3.9! I worked a many of jobs, Lifeguard, Server, Cashier, Biology Tutor, etc. Got my EMT license and have been on a rig doing IFT ever since. I volunteered in my community hospitals ED for about a year and was ablr to snag a personal statement from the ED Manager! The likelihood of them inviting me for an interview with that GPA is extremely low so I’m trying not to keep my hopes up!

Thank you so much! I am trying to see the NCLEX stats for Azusa ELMSN program but I can’t find it.  I am leaning towards APU but I’ll definitely decide after I attend the early acceptance interview for WesternU ?

You definitely have a chance because it seems like you have a lot of experience there! Western U definitely looks at you as a whole ?? Don’t lose hope! I hope you hear from them soon!

Hi so I’m also choosing between APU and Western, and I just wanted to know what you mean by “you don’t need to reapply like western”? Aren’t they both NP programs or am I misguided? Thanks!
