Hi all!

I, being the impatient person that I am, decided to make a thread to discuss the upcoming cycle of applications for Western University of Health Sciences, Masters of Science in Nursing Entry program.

A little about me, my undergrad is a B.S. in Public Health, but I always was interested in the nursing field. After getting my CNA license I decided that this was the field for me and want to eventually go on to become a Nurse Practitioner. I've been working on my application and I'm very nervous/excited to hear back (even though that seems forever away haha). Anyone else applying for this cycle, and if so what are your thoughts on the program??

If you log back on to the online application, there will be a section that shows Next Steps on the Status Page.

I used to have section that showed "Next Steps" and under it stated "your application has been sent to the admissions counselor for review" or something along those lines. But now I don't see that anywhere..

Wonder what that could mean....?

I don't see the next steps tab either. A week after I submitted my application my status showed "my application is processing". Then, it disappeared and ever since I haven't seen any status posted. I reached out the the admission counselor and he emailed me back confirming that my application was being seen by two committee members and if selected for an interview, I will be notified via email towards mid-December. That is all I was told.

Hi guys,

Quick question, where is the next steps tab that you guys are talking about? I don't see it anywhere in the page where I applied. What website are you guys going to?

I've been checking here but I don't know if that's the correct place:

Hey guys,

If you didn't get an email saying your application was sent to the committee for review don't worry I didn't either so I called ******* ******* and he told me mine was sent and being under review right now (even though I didn't get an email). He said they still have about 200 more applications to review. We should start hearing back starting Mon December 16th. I am so nervous! Goodluck!

where are you taking this combination class at?

is anyone taking chemistry?, although I don't think it is a requirement for this program.

I am on the same boat as you.. although my GPA is kinda low. I am hopping it goes up with the few pre recs that I need to complete.

I also have a pretty low GPA. My undergrad was barely a 3.0 but my overall is higher I think because I've done really well in all the pre-reqs. They look at both your undergrad GPA and overall GPA that includes the pre-reqs.

I don't have any answers to help anyone, but I was searching for some information and found the thread for last years applications.

its a long thread but it has some good information that gave me a general outline of how long it takes to hear back, interview process, etc.

Has anyone heard anything yet? I did not get an email or phone call and do not have the "Next Steps" tab in my app...is anyone in my shoes? I read above that we shouldn't worry but I still am lol
