I, being the impatient person that I am, decided to make a thread to discuss the upcoming cycle of applications for Western University of Health Sciences, Masters of Science in Nursing Entry program.
A little about me, my undergrad is a B.S. in Public Health, but I always was interested in the nursing field. After getting my CNA license I decided that this was the field for me and want to eventually go on to become a Nurse Practitioner. I've been working on my application and I'm very nervous/excited to hear back (even though that seems forever away haha). Anyone else applying for this cycle, and if so what are your thoughts on the program??

Hello all, I called the admission office today (Friday afternoon). I was informed that the committee should make a decision by next week. He didn’t give any specific date, just that it should be sometime next week. Good luck to everyone who applied!
I once had a "Next Steps" tab and it disappeared. I emailed admissions and they got back to me and said that the committee would start sending emails out for interviews on the 16th. So we should hear back sometime next week. Good luck to us all!

Nope! I called admissions yesterday to get an update and they told me they wouldn't be sending anything out until mid January after they get back from break. This totally confused me since 1. they had told others emails would start to go out this week and 2. every other year has shown (at least according to allnurses posts from the past three years) that half the interview invites go out before the winter break. It's also confusing because I know interviews tend to be held mid-late January so that doesn't seem like a lot of time to prepare. Obviously we can start preparing now for a potential interview but more than a week or so notice would be helpful! I totally got my hopes up thinking I might hear this week and was disheartened to hear we won't hear for another month or so.
