I just submitted my application and wanted to start a thread for this year's application cycle. Through this thread we can lend each other advice, support, updates, and/or questions!

A little about me... I recently completed my undergraduate studies and realized nursing was my true passion. I went from pre-med --> pre-dental --> pre-PA and now I'm here! I'm super excited to have applied because I feel life I've finally found what I want to do with myself. I also barely found out that accelerated Master's programs in Nursing exist.

I read last year's thread and it said that people receive an email saying their "application has been forwarded to the admissions department" or something like that. Did anyone who applied already receive this email yet?

I actually heard that they have this early decision interview day... Has anyone been invited yet???

Hi everyone! I applied this year to begin fall 2019! I received an email saying the my WesternU application was processed and sent to admissions for review. I went to preview day last Saturday and got a lot of information! The school is great and it's such a nice campus. The professors and dean seem very professional and knowledgeable. They said that they may give out early admission late December but not around Christmas. However, it is more likely to get an early admission notice in January! I asked how many students are early admitted out of the 65 students and she said it varies. She said one year they admitted 20 students and the other year they admitted 40 students. Over 400 students applied this year!! I will be on here for any updates! Good luck to everyone!!!

I am new to the thread I submited my application on 11/1. I have a 3.26 undergrad gpa and 3.7 gpa for prerequistes. I am looking forward to the application update. Loooking forward to chatting with all of you during this process.

Hi all! Just called admissions and they said they would be sending out interview invites in two weeks! Be sure to check your emails around that time. :-)

Hi there, congrats on submitting the app right on time! I believe they also consider the last 60 units gpa as well. Also, for the lucky people who get early admission decision, they should be receiving an email a bit before everyone else. I was told it is based on a grading scale from three categories: LORs, GPAs, and essays.

Thank you for clarifying! Did they say they would be sending out regular admission interview invites the same week as well?

I was told that regular admission invites would be sent out in January and could go out as late as February.

Hi everyone, I just received an email saying my application is still with the committee. Did anyone get any updates as well?? I'm a bit bummed and starting to lose a bit of confidence after hearing that the early admission invites are being sent out this week. :(
