Western University MSN-E 2018

I haven't seen any forums about the upcoming application for next year's MSN-E program so I thought I'd start! I have a degree from University of Oregon in Human Physiology with experience as a Medical Scribe and in a variety of PT and Chiropractic settings! (Switched from PT/Kinesiology to Nursing!) I'm interested in the FNP track and am really excited about Western. Feel free to post any questions/stats/etc and join me in freaking out over apps! Are any of you attending any of the upcoming information sessions as well?

I emailed the admission counselor a couple of days ago asking about the placement of people on the waitlist. He stated that there are no rankings on the alternate pool, and that the admission comittee re-evaluates student files and make their decision based on their re-evaluations.

I called yesterday and was told that there are currently 65 alternates and there is usually movement by the end of this month.

No updates on my end but I've recently accepted an offer at another program! Good luck to those who remain on the altnerate list!!

Have any alternates heard anything now that we're almost in July? Western is my #1 choice, but I also got into an ABSN that starts end of July. Hoping to hear back from Western before then :)

I emailed one of the advisors and he said they chose 6 people from the alternate list so far and if these 6 people decline acceptance, then they'll reevaluate the waitlist pool and choose more people from the waitlist. He said the waitlist is not ranked.

This wait is killing me! I got into APU for fall 2018, but waitlisted for Western. I fell in love with Western at the interview so I'm really hoping I can get accepted ASAP!!

Hi all, I just contacted the office and they told me that we would be notified early next week. 2 alternates will make it off the list. One other thing- just to give you guys an idea, they also said we will all know by August 20th if we made it in or not. Best of luck to everyone!!
