Western University MSN-E Fall 2017

Hi! Is anyone else applying for Western U's MSN-E program? I hadn't seen a thread out there yet for fall 2017. I'm a little nervous about the cost of this program. What are your thoughts about the program, cost, structure, time of completion, etc?

For those who are on the alternate list, don't give up!

I received an acceptance from Western, but I plan to attend USD so my spot will be open to those of you on the alternative list

(I just need to figure out how to let the school know about my decision - email them back?).

Thank you for the encouragement. It is refreshing to know a positive outcome. I'm part of the alternate list and it is easy to feel uncertain and slight discouraged but I am optimistic and will be patient.

So here's a thought, when I went to the interview, one of the interviewers explained to me that the process on how they chose their next cohort is that every criterion gets a rating. Ex. GPA, personal statement, interview, etc. The total of those ratings gets added up at admissions and they offer going down that list. Judging from how emails have been sent out slowly maybe it somewhat leaks a ranking? ORRRR I may be paranoid >.

That's an interesting way to accept applicants if that's the way they really do it. During my interview day, they emphasized the decision process consisting of the whole application and the interview.

I actually felt terrible about my interview since I felt like I rambled before getting to my point. I got my email on the intended day (Monday), but found out beforehand through my application portal.

Hi guys, I've been admitted to Western but decided to attend another school. Today was the deadline to pay the deposit to secure the spot for the admitted applicants, and I did not pay my deposit. Hopefully, the next person on the alternate list should hear from them soon.:) Good luck to everybody!
