Western University MSN-E Fall 2017

Hi! Is anyone else applying for Western U's MSN-E program? I hadn't seen a thread out there yet for fall 2017. I'm a little nervous about the cost of this program. What are your thoughts about the program, cost, structure, time of completion, etc?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask any current students of MSNE program if you can please give an idea of the schedule for the first year. I mean how many days a week is it including clinicals? In the email a sample schedule was sent showing 6 days a week schedule. At the interview they said it will be about 3 to 4 days a week. I am so confused. Please if anyone can share.

Hello! So for the fall semester, you'll be on campus in Pomona for 4 days. Clinical will start at week 7 of the semester and that will either be Thursday, Friday, OR Saturday. You will be doing one 8 hour shift per week. However, you'll still be on campus for 3-4 days.

As for IPE it will be scheduled on a Wednesday at 3-4:30 pm during the fall semester.

Hi tusnurse92, Thank you very much for the information. I feel relieved. It was troubling to see the 6 days a week sample schedule in the email. I have a part time job which I intend to keep. Thanks again.

Hi, it depends on a lot of factors. First of all is that the place where you are seeking a job has to have a new grad program which is often offered once a year. Not all the hospitals offer a new grad program. And then of course you have to do well in the interview.
