Hello everyone,
These boards are very helpful.
Anyone on here planning on going for the LPN program at western suffolk boces in Northport in September? or know anyone who has gone here. Feeback? I am undecided if I should try to go for the TEAS entrance exam for LPN or just begin with their CNA program. I am 39yrs old. Not that its too old to try anything at this point
How long do you usually need to work as a CNA before a hospital is willing to pay for your LPN schooling?
Thanks much!

Well dear I have you by 3 years and just started LPN school, if that is what you want I say go for it. It is tough but you can make it. This Friday I will be finished my 1st semester.
thank you for the words of encouragement! and congrats to you, thats awesome!
may I ask what school do you go to and were you a CNA at all prior?
I am sure it is very tough. I have two toddlers and a husband that works alot of hours. So it will be a challenge. But I really want to start this. I will be taking evening classes.

I go to Veeb, and yes I am a current CNA. Have been a CNA since last year. Just finished my finals for first semester, will get results tomorrow.
thats great! were you able to get your LPN schooling paid for by your current employer? I hear that is common.

This is one of my plans if all else fails lol.. Ive heard good things about their LPN program.
Praise2u good luck!
Well, I am starting the next CNA session here I think its sometime in January.
Praise2u where did you do the cna?
So I will be doing the Tues/Thurs 5-10pm at Northport starts in february...for 5 months.
I have classes the other days that would coincide with farmingdale.
I wish I couldve done the m-f 9-2 program and be done in the two months, but at least I will have the CNA certificate and be able to work! cant wait!
YAYY!!
I plan on signing up on Friday for Farmingdale location M/W. Keep in touch and good luck!!
I am also still debating taking the prep class for LPN TEAS entrance. They have that starting in April.
Great!
I would just go ahead and do it especially since I dont have a medical background.

Hi,good luck to you, I know it will be a challenge, but worth it. I am contemplating taking the test for eastern suffolk boces, was wondering if anyone knows which test they use? I went to the library and got a NET study guide, but not sure if it is the right book.
Asking here to see if any Grads will be selling their books.
Thanks.
