I start this July with my LPN-RN transition course-work. Are any of my fellow classmates out there?
Also does anyone have any experience (good OR bad) with this program? Interested in hearing some feedback. I searched the old posts and only found one from a couple years ago with no bites on it!
Hoping to connect with someone who is currently doing this program, HAS done this program- or is going to be starting this program! Thank you all in advance!
Excited about getting my RN!
I start March 19th (The lpn to Rn transition). How was the dosage calculations test ? Anything in particular you would recommend to study or a study guide?
Congrats! It's not bad. I got an 85% the first time. 100% the second time.
The instructor will setup practice test online(blackboard). I recommend being able to pass all of the practice test with at least 90%. You should be good to go.
HEY!, so I am looking to apply to this program and I know that it says that it is designed for working nurses but what days are the clinicals?
There isn't a clinical rotation the first semester. Second semester, clinical is once a week. It's either on Monday or Tuesday- 6:45am-4:15pm. They try to accommodate your choice. It's about 13 days.
Third semester, you have practicum. I think it's twice a week. 12 hour shifts. It's a total of 10 days. The days are based on your proctors schedule but they try to pair you with someone who works with your schedule.
Hope this help!
2nd semester clinical rotation is once a week. 8hr rotation. It's either on Monday or Tuesday.
Third semester practicum is 120 hours with a proctor.
Hope this answers your questions.
It will be tough to do from Washington State unless you plan to relocate close to the school for roughly 8 months.
