I am signing off trying to get students, working nurses, and people interested in nursing to come to this board. No one is interested.

It's been a few months since I've visited this forum and I returned today hoping that perhaps someone had responded to my thread regarding refresher courses. Alas... I was disappointed.

Best wishes for a wonderful weekend, and smile often...

I've read of refresher courses here before . .. not sure how to access those threads. Maybe you put your question in the wrong forum.

People are talking all the time on here . ....

Barefoot - I actually don't want people I work with to be here - I wouldn't feel as free to vent, ya know? :)

Now, students I can see . ... maybe post the address on the college bulletin board. Or maybe they are just too darn busy . .. I remember those days well and don't think I would have joined an online BB.

Same here I've invited people at school, and they don't so....they are missing a great thing. Then they wonder where I learn of things. :)

Lol... Stevie... you have a point about fellow employees and posting inhibitions...

and remembering back to my student days, I never had time to breathe... and throw four children and all of their activities onto my limited study time...

I'll have to stop by more often and see what's going on.

Is WV a pretty good state to be a nurse in? Still trying to figure out what I want to do with my professional life after I grow up... :p

Smile often...

I am so glad to have found this forum. However, I don't know if any of you would be interested in my southern slang. I am working in the southern part of WV and have been for almost 20 years (on and off). The mountains are my home and it seems that they always call me back. Nursing is evolving and at my facility we are not as technically advanced in our equipment but our staff is dedicated in educational issues. I look forward to chatting with ya'all!!! :thankya:

Hey wverrn! I'm in the southern part of WV, too. Madison/Danville area to be exact. I'm still in nursing school and will hopefully graduate May 2006. What hospital do you work at? I externed in the ER a couple of times @ Thomas and LOVED it! My first love is L&D but I think I would like the excitement of the ER. It's hard to tell where I'll end up after I graduate. That 's why I love nursing... it's such a diverse field.

Anyway.... hope to chat with you guys!

To be honest...I am in the McDowell County region. After that you can pretty well narrow where I work. I worked in L&D after working in the ER for 3 years. I returned to the ER recently because I am a CHAOTIC kind of lady and require that to feel worth..hahaha. Anyway the L&D at my facility is either feast or famine. More famine due to the high risks are always transferred. Our ER is small and we do transfer most of the critical pts. due to limited resources but I love the ER and wouldn't change again.

Nothing is ever permanent... you will change your mind and it always changes your experience..
