West Hills CC Fall 2021 RN Program

Hi everyone! My name is Julian I just applied to WHCC RN program for the Fall 2021 cohort. I thought it would be necessary to create this topic to discuss and talk and freak out about the upcoming nursing selection together LOL. I applied with 91.35 points. Has anyone else applied yet???

Same here. I don't work either or go to school, so it really hard to do something because with so much free time. I just overthink about everything. I wish we would get to know today. Fingers crossed ?

It definitely sucks not having something to keep busy with during this waiting period. 
I’m extremely hopeful also that we will hear soon. But then again as time passes I start losing hope. It’s just the overthinking LOL. But yes fingers crossed ??

Same here, I keep doubting everything. Hopefully, by this week we will get to know. Do you know maybe how any applications were submitted this time?

I wish they gave us a date like some other schools did. It would be a lot easier to wait for a date than wondering when.

Does anyone know how many points are needed to get into the program?

Just an update for everyone. I emailed the health careers department and they said they would be sending out notifications within the next TWO weeks. ?They said they were going to try sending out notifications by 4/16 the latest. So we still have two weeks of waiting. They’re running a little behind due to the new application process they implemented.

Thanks for checking. Although we have more waiting it's good to know a time-line instead of being anxious every day. Does anyone know how the process is different this year than previous years?

Thank you for the update! So sounds like we should know West Hills response around same time as FCC.

No the only thing I know is that everything was done online this year and previous years it wasn’t. I think it had to be mailed or turned in in person. I’m not sure what else might be different.

Yeah more or less around the same time. Maybe a few days sooner from WHC. Either way we still have a ways to wait!

WHC received over 400 applications this time around. I spoke with a counselor today and she said they are still going through the evaluation period.

400? Wow. Did you happen to ask how many seats they offer?
