Good luck with it! Im off work right now for health reasons, go back in 3 weeks. I dread it because I know NOTHING about the new OASIS, but Ive heard its a bear. So anyone, please post anything complicated/hard about it as you do it. I will feel like Im starting a new job all over again once I go back.

I had two SOCs today. It wasn't bad. The proprietary software our company uses makes it a whole lot harder than it has to be, but overall the OASIS-C portion was much easier to complete, especially the functional scoring. I think that once I get used to it, it will actually be a little bit quicker than the old version.

HELLO,
The way I look at it, it's a short period of time, a leaning curve, before it becomes bearable (like developing a callous on the brain!) and then it will become rote. Personally, I would rather be seeing patients. This is the saddest thing about OASIS, the fact that it weighs my day in favor of documentation rather than hands on nursing.
Thanks for the thread.
If "it all starts here with you" means anything to you, then apparently we are.
