Well, I think I just flunked out of nursing school today.

We had another psych exam today....I was the one who posted on our last exam where only about 15 students out of almost 150 past the exam.

Well, we could only miss 10 on this exam and I missed 16, which puts me down by 11 points overall.

We only have 4 exams left and they all cover 300 to 600 pages of material for each unit and we only have 2 1/2 weeks for each one.

I have clinicals tomorrow and I'm not going. I just e-mailed the director to see what I need to do.

I would have to get a near-perfect score on the next 4 exams and there is no way I can pull that out.

Oh! I am so glad to read your update, and I am so happy for you. It must have been gratifying to hear this from your instructor......

I am so happy to here your news...I can relate. Last Spring I was struggling with Med/Surg 1. I was getting a little better grade on each test, but it was going to be a stretch to get above passing. One of our hard instructors was teaching the class and she basically told me the same as your teachers," If we didn't think you would make it we would advise you to withdraw, but we know you are studying and making progress, and we still see you succeeding here." That is why I have said on here before don't assume instructors are always out to get you, inside many, many of them long for us to succeed as much as we do. Even the tough ones remember what it was like!:heartbeatCongrats and keep your chin up!!!

I'm glad to read your update. Last semester, I really dug myself a HUGE whole after my first lecture test. I made good grades on the next few tests, but still needed to hit a home run on the final. I studied harder for the final than I had for any test up until that point. I needed to get 37 questions right in order to pass. Guess how many I got right? 37 -- not a point to spare. Today, that I only got 37 questions right doesn't matter. I passed, and I'm in my last semester.

Hang in there!!

Definitely don't give up. Your goal, this profession, this dream is to precious to give up!

Dear Hopefull2009,

Please don't give up. I missed by 2 percentage points and had to come back to finish. I wasn't going to come back but one of my instructors caught me before I left that day and said that" If I didn't come back , the nursing field would be missing a great nurse" if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have come back. In coming back, I realized that it was easier , I understood things better this time around. Maybe it was because I had allready been thru it but I am doing great this time and right now I only have 8 class days left then Team leading for 6 weeks and I am done. So don't give up there is light at the end of the rainbow, I am living proof...

Keep smiling it will work!!!! Wheart

I just want you to know that I am proud of you. I always read your posts because I feel like I can learn so much from your experiences. I am so glad to hear that things are looking up and that you are doing better than you realized. I am already worried about how things will go for me and I don't even apply until March!

Just know that we are pulling for you. Good luck!!
