Weight loss surgery

Has anyone had it? What procedure did you have? I'm considering speaking to my doctor about being referred to a bariatric surgeon for possibly having the LAP BAND surgery. I would just like to hear about other's experiences with it.

i am looking into getting roux-en-y done. just had the little inservice on what needs to be done to be eligible. and i too have tried and tried to lose. now i also have arthritis in knees, and borderline diabeties as well as hypertension. all can be helped with surgery. the surgeon i want to do mine has had very few bad outcomes as well, and he did my laproscopic gallbladder and i was back to work in 3 days. research what is required and the surgeons too.

A lady from the insurance company called yesterday and said that I was medically approved and now I need my psych exam. So I got the number for the psych docs and will make my appointment for next week. I missed my appointment for the sleep consult today.
