:yeah: Just today(2/10) my unit discharged a former 23+2 weeker!!! She came to us on Oct. 16th and had the usual roller coaster ride but withstood any devastating complications. She did have a PDA ligation and laser eye surgery, but she went home today weighing 6 lbs 4 oz and nipple feeding everything. It was a very happy occasion in the unit!! Her parents were crying with gratitude--it was a very good day!!

Was she on any respiratory support when she went home?

Sounds like a special miracle!

No oxygen, no BPD. Only caffeine and a home monitor. Her ROP is the biggest problem. Along with laser surgery she also had Avastin injections. Left eye better, right eye questionable.

Pretty close to a miracle in my book.
