Tweety sounds like a tiring trip home.  Glad the last day was good

NJ22 that sounds like a good idea, to break up the drive that  way

Stars it is a lot for you to keep caring for both of them, hopefully there are some community organizations that can provide some assistance or advice

Sleep was a bit disrupted last night,  had a bad dream and some GERD which woke me up in the middle of the night

First day back was not as bad as I had feared, was quite busy but not crazy.  Haven't taken 2 consecutive days off work in a little over a year.  Hoping today things will be slower, despite two (hopefully brief) meetings

J is starting to feel better, hoping the allergies are trending downward

Grocery shopping tonight,  other than that should be fairly quiet

Going to be rainy, in the mid 60s

Good morning all!

Joe, good to know the transition back to work wasn't bad.  Yay, J's allergies are getting better!

((((((((((((((((((( No Stars ))))))))))))))))))

Yesterday I took a trip to the grocery store.  Picked up a birthday card for dh (it was his 68th).  We are pretty low-key about birthdays; he even shakes his head over a card, but grins when he gets it. ?  We did the online jam, then changed and picked up oldest ds and had a nice dinner out.  Italian, but not traditional -- it was lighter fare than traditional Italian.  Very good!  Ds had his "dessert": espresso with small spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream dribbled into it.  He enjoyed it!

Today?  Not sure what the day will hold.  I don't have much planned.  We have had clouds the past few days, they whirl in and then whirl out, then whirl in again.  Rain has hit other areas but not ours.  Too bad!  The clouds are nice to see, though!

Have a good day!

G'day.

Joe, hope you have a good day.

Happy birthday to Dianah's D.  My family is low key about birthdays too.

Safe travels J22

At work   Feeling good after recovery from getting home at nearly 2am Monday.

Have a great day

Hey all!

Glad Joe and Tweety had good days for returning to work. Even when time off is restful and fun (which it wasn't for Tweety, at least) there is added work stress.

We don't go all-out for birthdays but I do like to make them special in some way. You get one day a year that is just for you! (although it doesn't exactly work out that way for Twins A and B).

3 weeks until move-in day!

Cool, grey and with intermittent light showers.

I have to go get some food as our larder is getting low. The stupid 'what will we get for supper' needs to be addressed.

Both Nannie and hubby are snoring in their recliners.

j22-I agree that financial/legal advice would be helpful.

Hubby's appt with primary doc is the 26th. He is more interested in getting his yearly eye exam and getting new lenses, says he doesn't know when his appt for that is. I told him he better not schedule it for the day he is to go see PCP. He said "We'll see." I told him he was NOT going to miss the appt with his doc. I am going with him for sure, to see how the doc reacts and what he says about hubby not going to the gut doc. We got a note from the gut guy's office that he needs to reschedule an appt and the sent a copy of that letter to his primary doc.

I shouldn't be feeling so p.o'd at him, but I am, and I have to accept my feelings about that. However, if he continues to be non-compliant, why should the doc agree to continue being his doc? That's up to the doc.

I've got some questions and fine words for hubby if he wants to continue being a drunk.

PS, it was the gut doc's office that sent a copy of their letter to the primary doc about the missed appt, not me.

dianah, you brought to my mind the meals we had in Boston. We ate at an Italian restaurant one night and I had some kind of fish, having been strongly encouraged to have some seafood while in Boston even though I'm not a big fan. It was good, though. And then some tiramisu. The night before we had just plain ol' food but I did have an espresso martini -- dessert in a drink! I really liked that.

Think of the alphabet and pick out a 'dirty' word or cuss word for every single letter and that will account for what I'm thinking right now, but can't say due to TOS.

Hubby went out to get the mail; he said he was on the driveway (cement) which is near the driveway, but he fell about 15 feet to the left of the mailbox, in the yard. Now granted, the grass was probably wet and the fallen leaves slippery; he said he was about to walk up the little hill to the mailbox when he fell. If he was walking on the driveway, how did he end up way over where he fell? He said "Hell, I don't know." He denied he'd had anything to drink, but I doubt that he was sober. The fat guy from across the road came over and helped me get hubby up. This is like the third time this month that neighbor hs helped me get hubby up from a fall.

We got him back across the yard to the front porch, and I brought out a portable 02 tank so he could catch his breath. He apologized: "I'm sorry." and I just said "I know."

The beyotch of it is there are no group Al-Anon mtgs because of covid. Maybe soon. I sure need them.

No Stars, is there anything available online, or via Zoom?

Specializes in Med nurse in med-surg., float, HH, and PDN.

I'll search around and see. Don't feel like ZOOMing....for one because I don't know how, but also because I don't feel like sitting somewhere near our wifi and possibly being overheard by those in the house. I'll check about online.

I wish I didn't feel so down. Hubby 'swears' he only had 3 drinks earlier in the day, but sadly, I believe he had more than that, and closer to the time he fell. I asked if he had taken any pills, like his Xanax and he said no. He is still wondering if he has vertigo. They won't give him any meds for it, if he does have it; he has to stop drinking first.

Our ballgame is on a weather delay. Maybe it will stop raining down in Atlanta and they can start soon. I need something to take my mind off of things. Right now I am even having a hard time praying.

Well, that's it.

Hi. The drive is going well. Lots of boring countryside. Dry, sagebrush, rocks. I’m glad we broke it into 3 shorter days instead of 2 long ones.
