Tweety glad you have less soreness this time

Stars it does sound like you need a new vacuum

NJ22 glad that you're feeling better

Work was marginally better than yesterday but a longer that expected meeting  complicated things.  Hoping today is better, no meetings at least.  Hoping the flood of new work slows down

After work was a bit of a rush too.  Rainy today and tomorrow, so I went grocery shopping yesterday and then met with the church group to eat out.  Had a decent crowd

Today after work should be much quieter, nothing to do except exercise

Think it will be in the 70s the next 2 days

Hello all!

Good to read you are feeling better, nursej22.  Agree about lengthy conferences, even if one has a good back!  I always choose a seat near the back and on the aisle, so I can get up and walk around during the presentations.  Hope your family got their groceries and that your ds's covid isn't heavy.

Joe, it's feast or famine, eh?  Hope things quiet down so you can get a handle on what you have.

Tweety, relieved to read you have minimal (or, at least, manageable) postop pain.  What's with the house insurance not following through???  It's kinda important.

Not much sleep last night, dunno why (side effect of sudafed or benadryl, the illness itself, who knows???).  I will eat some breaky then perhaps nap.  At least rest.  Cough doesn't seem to be subsiding, and last night it seemed the mucous production increased.  Yah, I know: TMI!

My heart is so heavy with the news from Texas, and the Ukraine situation, and...

Hugs to you all (safe cyber-hugs), and have a good day.

Good afternoon.

Steady but manageable day.  New grad sbwith me one more week.  She's doing great.

No need for more ibuprofen today.   The last crown bothered me for days.

Two call outs for night shift.  Something us going around.

Sitting at conference, listening to pre-taped presentations, which seems weird for an in person conference. This morning’s session is 3 hours long. ? I was able to secure a seat near the wall so I can stand frequently. It’s hot again, up to 105. I think lunch is provided today, otherwise most restaurants are 1/2 mile away.
Hang in there Joe. No fun to feel pressured but I’m sure your efforts are appreciated.
Tweety, I’m glad your dental work pain is manageable. I feel so lucky to have strong-ish teeth.
Hi Dianah, doggone cold meds do have side effects, don’t they. I’m still taking a half dose of Sudafed, to keep my sniffles dried up.

I recommend a new vacuum stat! The newer ones are so better and lighter to use.
Hi Ado and anyone else.
Amo, where are you?

Trying to stay awake through an Outpatient Quality Reporting webinar. I really think I'm a bit ADHD and either can't focus or focus too deeply on minutiae. There is a new (voluntary for now) measure to report, which includes vital signs and lab results. It looks as if they eventually want us to report them on 90% or more of discharges with a Medicare FFS claim. Not a huge deal for me, but wouldn't that be burdensome for larger hospitals? I guess if they can be electronically extracted from the EHR it's so bad. Sorry to be thinking out loud ?

Tried a new local Mexican eatery for lunch and it was tasty.

Tweety, I hope you get that insurance problem resolved soon. How nerve-wracking.

I do enjoy reading what you all write.

I see we had an ER patient yesterday who is 105 years old. My thoughts went immediately to Gma. I don't know what I'll do if she lives to 105. I don't think *I* will last that long in that case. I remember when my mother died and we were trying to see what our options were for Dad, that my sister and I talked with DHS about nursing home financing and they would have taken all his assets, including the house (even though it was in the trust, I think) and there was something about if it had been sold more than 7 (?) years before then it could be excluded. Since stepson bought Gma's house just over a year ago, I wonder how that would affect Gma's ability to pay for nursing home care? Also, we'd have different state laws to deal with since said house is in Indiana. Not that Hubs is willing to even consider a NH at this point. Again, thinking out loud. Apologies.

Ado, never apologize for things shared here.  At the very least, putting ideas and thoughts "out there" can help you sift through the issues and aid in decision-making.  Sometimes, too, one of our wise members adds a thought that may help with same.  I never mind reading the thoughts shared here. ?

No Stars, I agree with nursej22: new vacuum!  Having recently purchased one myself (and I know you didn't ask for opinions but I will offer one anyway, so THERE!  ? ) and my main criteria were: 1-lightweight and 2-viewable and easy-to-empty dustbin.  None of this vaccuum-has-shut-down-because-dustbin-is-too-full, requires-48-hr rest to re-set (If I can't SEE that the dustbin is full, how am I supposed to know when to empty it???) stuff.  Of course, you don't live with dh and 7 cats and one pooch.  Yah, that changes things.  ANWAY, lightweight is a MUST!!

Didn't nap but I rested --supine!  NOT propped up!  And only coughed a little.  Crossing fingers this continues to the evening.  I will try not to nap, so I will be sufficiently tired come bedtime.  I want to experiment with taking NO meds tonight, so as to not have any side effects!

Have a good evening!

I could swear I already posted here today, but couldn't find anything by me! So...

The pig across the street has started to deliver her piglets. Hubby went over there briefly and said she'd had two, so far. And, the other female pig got preggers when she or the boy-pig got out of their pen a month ago. She's no- where near delivering yet, though, I think.

 ? PIGS-PIGS-PIGS!! ????????? Wonder how many she'll have?

dianah, I definitely want a light-weight vac that can get cat and dog hairs up; human hairs, too, because I shed a lot. Not getting bald, just have LOTS of hair, and it seems to me that it is mostly the white hairs I am shedding! Cool, huh?

Nannie's comment about the woman who interviews the ball players: "Look at her NECK! She isn't as young as she wants us to think she is!" I believe it was shadows and her hair blowing around that made Nannie think it was ... well, like HER own neck! I think the woman is not quite 30-ish...There is not a wattle on her!

H'lo Tweety, Joe, Ado, j22, and where the heck is amoLu these days?

Not too chatty right now. The ballgame is over (we won 8-4) and it's time for me to go upstairs, relax against a pile of pillows and read. Aaaahhhhhhhhh!
