Gosh-gosh-gosh! I really am a "print junkie' ... I (once again) stayed up reading until 3 AM. Tsk-tsk! Woke up at 8 AM to trundle Ozzie out to pee. Nannie was still in bed; 2nd night in a row she has not come out to her recliner! I went back to sleep and didn't get up until 1 PM. ? Slept well, woke up with aching deltoid muscles (!?!) but roll-on lidocaine helped ease it.
Hubby is preparing for a trip up to the mtns this weekend, because the oldest grand-daughter is getting married on Sunday afternoon. Funny to see him in a suit. Thank goodness it still fits him.
Okay, I just wanted to get a post in here before it was all-of-a-sudden midnight again. I may come back again in a little while~
Hello to everyone I mentioned yesterday, including dianah....sorry I left you out!
Hello. I just returned from a short run out by the bay. Not many waterfowl. The weather is finally changing, so I suppose some will be migrating. There are still plenty of swans and snow geese flying over. The sun is peeking out, which is nice. I go back to work this afternoon, and need to do a few errands on the way. I ordered a bike carrier to attach to the back of my car. I used to put it in the back of the old pickup, but the newer one is higher off the ground and has a cover and its a struggle to get my bike in and out. Yesterday was vacuum and laundry, super exciting, right? I do enjoy freshly laundered sheets on the bed. I miss my clothesline, a little.
Tweety, you sound like me sometimes in that I struggle to just enjoy the now, and stop worrying about the what ifs.
Ado, that is cool that you have someone to cook, but I am sorry about your burn. I seem to keep picking out Hello Fresh meals with mashed potatoes, and I'm a little tired of them. I like to mix up starches. Last night we went to Olive Garden. I love the chicken and gnocchi soup, and salad.
Stars, I have always thought little kids had the greatest sense of humor. My grandsons will text me funny jokes and pictures. Dh gets grumpy with me when I am happy with leftovers, too. Restaurant servings are just too big.
Joe, I hope your training is useful, and doesn't impact the workday too much.
Hi Dianah, amo, and BCGrad.
Take care.
Hubby said, "Oh, God, I dread this trip up to the mountains. I'd almost rather go get a colonoscopy. I don't enjoy driving anymore. I don't like staying over (at his dgt's house) even though she and her husband are back together again. They go to bed at 7:30 PM!" (We are most always up until midnight or beyond and sleep late in the morning.)
amo, Say a li'l 'squeek' to your new room-mate for me!
j22, I probably have told this one before, but here goes again: When my nephew was 3 years old, he and I were sitting on a chair in a second-hand store waiting for his mother to finish up her poking-around-shopping. He pointed to a print on the wall which was Jesus in a field of sheep, holding a lamb. Nephew said, "That's a picture of God. He was Mary's father." I asked him how he knew the man was God and was Mary's father. He said, "Because Mary had a little lamb." I about croaked trying not to laugh. Typical logic for a 3 year old, though!
Hello all! Good to see you all, and catch up. I do read through this daily thread every day; I just don't post in it every day. ?
Busy day in the Stress Lab this morning, and then our one afternoon patient was a no-show, so I came home early, as office partner had the Case Management in line. I may jam with dh, online.
No Stars, your dh will probably not regret going to the wedding (seeing as he IS part of the family!). No, it won't be like being at home, but that's because it isn't home! Wonder what got into Nannie, to NOT get up and sleep in the recliner?? Give Ozzie pats for me, please.
Hello to nursej22 and to Tweety: agree, live in the NOW.
amo, did you see the little critter, or just see some mouse droppings?
Joe, enjoy your clear days before the rain this weekend.
I am using up my Comp Time Accrued, so have Friday and Tuesday off. My last day is a week from Friday. Just taking it one day at a time, as I still need to pay attention to what I'm doing!
It has been clear and 75-78 degrees, and kinda breezy. Nice weather. Our sycamore tree is bursting with new leaves.
Have a good evening!
Good evening.
Work was busy. Started with 4:1 but got two admissions and discharged three.
We had a good rain last night which didn't help me sleeping. I'm not one of those that likes to sleep in the rain. But it was one of those crazy Florida thumberboomers with lots of lightening. Much needed rain though.
Got a notification from my pharmacy that my trazodone script was ready. I didn't ask for a refill that I know of, unless I hit a button when I was on my app the other day. And I didn't have any refills. Texted my doc and asked could I try a bigger dose and he agreed to let me see how I feel on 50 mg at night instead of 25 which isn't helping much.
I can't say I worry about the "what ifs" but I tend to be a realist with a tendency to be pessimistic. Like I can start my day and know soon enough that it will be a crappy day at work. Others may take it as it comes, or hope that it will be a good day and be realistic but optimistic. Maybe I manifest my own bad day that way. LOL

Tweety glad your team is still in 1st place
Stars glad your dh and his brother had a civil conversation
Ado hope your finger is better
Was a good day at work yesterday, not too crazy, except briefly towards the end of the day
A quiet night too, stayed in and exercised
Today have a brief training at work, hopefully it won't impact the work day too much
Grocery shopping and choir practice after work
Going to be another fairly warm day, in the upper 60s. Looks like it will rain this Sat, which is disappointing
