Tried to go to bed a bit earlier, but had trouble falling asleep.....and then I woke up every hour until the alarm went off a 7:30 AM. I am guzzling coffee, and I have to get dressed and go downstairs to get Nannie up and dressed, and gone! Other than that, I think I have a few errands, and then I may very well come home and have to nap! Will be back laydah.....
PS: 82 degrees today, with 94% humidity and NO rain predicted! Yech!
I'm baaaaccckk!
Took the car to the dealership to ask why they didn't send the inspection thingy to the DMV, and was told it was a 12-point inspection they did while I was there getting my new tires(fluids, etc) but not a STATE inspection. So I was there 2 hours!! But they did the inspection and replaced one light (back-up) bulb, and the "cabin filter". I ended up paying $157. Then I had to go stand in line at the plates and registration office (not run by the state; they hired a private company to take care of those things.) Put my new sticker on the license plate. Then I went to look around in Kohl's to see if anything appealed to me for the wedding coming up. Tried on 2 pair of shoes (always good for a laff) and cruised around the clothing, but Ppfftt! I gave it up and went next door to the Health Food Store, where I spent too much, but got some foods I can only get there, foods that Nannie won't eat due to spiciness or appearance. On the way home I had to stop at Harris-Teeter so I could get more drinks (tea, coffee, juice, Pepsi, and some probiotic drinks.) and a couple of birthday cards (my sister and my younger brother have June birthdays.) Momo shrilled at me when I got home; not only had she missed me because I was gone longer than I said I would be, but also because there were some more flies in the house, and flies freak her out. Some mother-fly must've found a place to lay her eggs......Yesterday I killed 7 flies on the kitchen window, and later, about 10 flies down in the den, So last night I was sure to empty ALL the trash bags and wastebaskets, hoping it would eliminate the problem. Apparently I was wrong. When I go out to pick up Nannie from daycare, I will stop and get another bottle of ZEVO spray. I used to be a real dead-eye shot killing flies with a swatter, but not so much anymore, and the Zevo covers a little more territory than a fly swatter, and I want 'em seriously DEADED. Hate standing around holding a fly swatter and waiting for one or two of them to land. I used to say "Pick a place to die", and they did, but not this "new" generation!
I've got an hour and a half before I have to head out to get the Nannie-person. B'lieve I'll just take it EEEEEEZZZZZZZZ!
Just got back from a visit with ortho. Was fitted with a better sling and advised to wear it to keep strain off rear shoulder muscles. He doesn't think I need surgery for now, come back in month. the chance of me agreeing to surgery would be close to zero. It's not like I'm a major league pitcher. And he recommended Advil PM for sleep. I'll pass, because Benadryl and I are not friends.
We volunteered at the demo garden this morning, and then went to weed class.
We had dinner last night at a ritzy seafood place, but I don't eat fish. I ordered a cobb salad that came with shrimp. I ate the parts not touching the shrimp. And I had a nice glass of red wine.
Joe, I hope the TEE, recovery, drop-off, and pick-up go smoothly for you and your dad.
nursej22, I hope the new sling gives good support. I hear ya, on foregoing surgery. I hope you are able to get some decent sleep. It takes time to heal!
No Stars, remember the story about the tailor who had a shirt made, "Seven At One Blow!" and after he wore the shirt he became famous as a tough guy -- someone you DON'T want to mess with!! -- when really he had killed seven FLIES at one blow, and was tickled pink with himself for that -- thus the shirt. I hope you are able to take care of the fly issue, so Momo isn't bothered No Mo' (no more)!
I got a couple errands done, took some time to wander through part of Target, and be thankful I didn't NEED anything there. I stopped by the Cat Cafe; my son wasn't working but I got a green tea and went down to visit the cats anyway. There were half a dozen other ppl visiting, so I just sat and watched, figuring the cats had plenty of petting and stimulation if they wanted it.
No thunderstorms today, though there are plenty of clouds over the mountains to the northeast and east-northeast.
Have a good evening!

Tweety sounds like a productive day
Stars I hope the itching fades
Ado I hope the storms weren't too bad
Dianah sounds like you had a busy few days
Yesterday was initially busy with a new case and some documents, but I pushed on and by the afternoon things had calmed down. After work did the grocery shopping and stopped at the bike store. Then I exercised and replaced the punctured tube on my bike. Went very easily, despite not having done that in years
Early start this morning to pick up dad and take him to the TEE, and then sometime later in the morning take him back. Will work through lunch and work late to accommodate all the driving around. Unless something unexpected happens should be calmer day, tried not to schedule much at work. Otherwise should be a normal day
Bit tired, think sleep might have been disturbed in anticipation of getting an early start and all the driving
Will be cooler today, in the upper 60s, with rain much of the day
