Hi Tweety

Dianah that sounds like an interesting recipe

Stars glad you will get a break today

NJ22 glad that you are finally getting reimbursed for the car

Ado glad the trip has gone well so far

Got a new case yesterday so it proved a busier day than expected at work. Hoping the pace will slow down a bit today

After work got all the grocery shopping done and went and got a haircut

Nothing unusual planned for today after work except exercise and maybe some CEUs

Going to be in the upper 20s today, with a major snowstorm starting later this morning and continuing throughout the day

Woke up to my cell ringing at 8:30 AM; it was SiL telling me to come down and unlock the back door. She is going to get Nannie over to the Day Care. I told her that since it is supposed to be raining like crazy all afternoon, I will probably call them and go over to pick Nannie up earlier than usual.....the forecast says 34 degrees, and rain....possibly freezing rain, or snow,....so I ain't a'gonna be picking her up during the rush hour as I usually do.  I'd just as soon she stayed home, but SiL said she was going to take her over there regardless.....sooooo, I will have to use my best judgement about retrieving her this afternoon. Much as I'd just as soon NOT go out in this wet crud, I have little choice.

Meanwhile I am awake and wondering if I will get up and "do things" around the house, or if I will close my eyes and be 'gone' for a few more hours of sleep. I am not feeling particularly tired, nor is my energy level very high , so it is a crapshoot, ie, it is likely I will be getting dressed and start puttering around, but have no agenda to accomplish a whole bunch. There is MY laundry to do.

Que sera sera and all that, you know....

Hope no one is in the area where there are predictions for thunder-snow and "ice-blanket" weather!! That does not bode well for power-lines!

I guess they had some ice at home. Enough to make roads slick but maybe not weigh down power lines. Twin A did drive to a doctor appr 20 miles away.

After we escaped the chilly conference room I sat on my room's deck in the sun to read. Now it's time to head to dinner.

Hello all!

Joe, I hope your work day slowed down.  Stay safe in the snowstorm!

NSIME, I hope Nannie pick-up was uneventful, and you encountered no bad road conditions.

Ado, glad you had some time to read and sit in the sun.

I actually slept OK last night and the night before.  Cleaned out the "Tupperware cupboard" (for lack of a better name for food storage containers and their lids).  I pared it all down to some sentimental Tupperware (with lids that match!!) and most of the containers we use for food storage these days.  Did my exercises.  Read a little.

Toby (Manx cat) is doing much better, following his usual patterns and acting hungry at meal time.  Whatever it was (a flu, a stroke, a stomach upset??), he seems to be recovering.

Yesterday dh and I watched a special from Amazon Prime, Riding on the Orient Express with David Suchet.  We enjoyed it, as we have long enjoyed his portrayal of Hercule Poirot, and this will probably be the closest we'll ever come to riding on that famed railway!  We noticed he hosts another few specials, one being Walking In the Steps of Paul, and also Walking In the Steps of Peter.  Will probably try those out in the near future.

It is misting out, on and off.  Rain predicted more heavily for tomorrow.  I just checked the Big Bear Eagle Cam, and there is no snow up there as of yet, just fog and the nest seems to be sitting on a cloud!  Possibly it will snow (mixed with rain) tonight and tomorrow.  The eagles will keep those three eggs warm and dry!

Have a good evening!

G'day.

Not a bad day at work.  Not a good day at work.

Terrible night's sleep.  Hope tonight is better.

Ado, missed that you were out of town.

Glad that Toby is better.

Hope those in the path of the storms stay safe.

Might lay low in the coming days.

I wouldn't mind being someplace warm for a few days. It was up to 33 degrees today, and sunny. I went for a solitary walk to see if the sidewalks were safe to take the dogs. nope. So I loaded them up and took them down to the commercial area, and walked them around there. I walked along the river, viewing and listened to the birds: mallards, gulls, crows, and chickadees. And I finished drying and folding the laundry I washed yesterday. I got caught up in a new jigsaw puzzle, while listening to YouTube. dh went to a talk about vermiculture (gardening with earthworms) and he is going to pick up pizza on his way home.

Joe, I hope your snow storm is uneventful, and you can enjoy the beauty and avoid bad roads and power outages.

Good to hear ol' Toby is back to his ol' self,

Stars, I hope you had a good, Nannie-free day.
