Tweety glad the storm largely missed you

Dianah I suspect so, I'm probably unconsciously on alert for the sound

Stars I hope you can find some additional respite care, as her needs seem to be steadily rising

Hi TMB

Work was again pretty good, nice slow pace, no new cases yet. Hoping this holds true for a while longer

After work did the grocery shopping and exercised.  Completed the CEU for my Michigan license, and also have enough CEUs for my case management certification.  Will be glad to be done with CEUs, at least until next year

Today will be going to lunch early to take the cat to the vet.  Hopefully he can come up with some answers regarding the vomiting

Weather continues to be nice, no rain and temps in the upper 70s

Good morning!

Joe, hope things continue well at work for you.

Dianah, sorry about the sleep issues.  It really is draining isn't it?

I had a very frustrating night myself.  Woke up at 2:30 and my body and mind decided I was done sleeping after maybe 4 hours sleep.  Read some and tossed and turned and gave up around 4AM.  Returned to bed at 5:30 and after feeding the dogs was able to get 1.5 more sleep.  Bleh....

Doesn't help that for the last two nights Slowbro has been somewhat restless pacing about our bed.   After eight years together and him being deaf-blind, not sure I have it in me to crate him away from the bed.  Usually he sleeps quietly through the night.  Hopefully that pattern returns.

Meeting best friend for lunch and a movie.  I might pass on the movie as I'm kind of washed out.  LOL

Awakened by my bladder and got up at 10:45 AM, then Momo said that because I was vertical, I had to go down to feed her....and when I did, there comes Nannie out of her bedroom, already dressed. I got her breakfast and meds and told her I was coming back up to bed to wait for my AM meds to kick in. I will probably have to go down to check her bed and the clothes she has on, for the inevitable wetness. SiL is supposed to come get her around 1 PM, and I don't think she'd planned on showering Nannie today because she will have the 6 year old with her. I am having a cup of coffee, trying to wake up so I can go down and do Nannie's initial AM care so she isn't stinky. (I can't smell, so I don't know if she does.) So starts my "day off".

Yup, yep, uh-huh~

Got my new glasses; I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW! w00t! Only thing is that I didn't realize the frames were gold, not silver. Not sure if I knew that when I picked them out, and if it starts to bother me, I can go over to see if they actually DO have silver frames. If not, well then......OH WELL! Function is more important than looks. And they fit really well, the way they are supposed to, ie not sliding half-way down my nose! They did do my trifocal sections the way I like them, with a larger area for reading. The frames are narrower (vertically) and if they'd put the reading section down lower where it is usually put, then I have to move my head more, instead of just my eyes, while I read. Two 'silly millimeters' really does make a difference!

Nannie got a shower and while they were doing that my 'grand-niece' (who is she told me, not 6 !!) ate her lunch and talked about the puppy and the obedience class they all went to this morning. Then they all went off to the nail salon to get painted. SiL told me she is bringing over supper later, cabbage and some kind of sausage....it is really good, the way she makes it. She also brings some fruit and a few other veggies, so I will eat well tonight!

I decided while I was out, I might as well get my nails done. Now Momo is delighted to have NAILS to be scratched with again. Happy dog, happy dog-mom.

You know, tmb, when I mentioned the blinds to SiL, she said the same thing you did.....have BiL take off the 'stick' that adjusts the blinds. I don't care, do whatever will work so that Nannie had nothing there to point at and talk about!

Tomorrow is Chatty CG's day; not sure what I will do, except pick up my (PRN) Robaxin. But now, I will go upstairs and putter around in my room.

Up and awaaaaay, Jr Birdmen!

We are headed home, and I am ready. Dh and ds have been quite irritable, and I'm am just trying to avoid being drawn into a major spat. I will try to post some pics.

Gorgeous photos, j22!  By the way, who's the bearded guy?

tmb~I was wrong about the control bars on the blinds in the den; they are only affixed by plastic hooks that make them easy to take off, so, now they are GONE (stored in a closet) and I don't have to "Look 👀 at those things", or hear 👂about them ANY MORE!

BiL drove Nannie back home in SiL's car. The minute she sat on her recliner, she looked out the back door and asked, "Is that the car we are going out in?"  BiL said that's the car he just brought her back home in. She looked very confused. He told her that she had been over at his house for most of the afternoon. She was quite disappointed that she wasn't going to go out now.... Even though she just came back from being out, she had no memory of it, because she asked if she had been "sitting alone here all afternoon?"

Then she wanted to know if I was going to put some of my supper on a tray for her.....but I told her she already had supper at SiL's house before she came home. She didn't remember that she already ate supper, even though, no, she said, she didn't feel very hungry.

I did get some things done up in my bedroom; I moved the bedside table away from the bed, vacuumed and treated the carpet stains (some from prior to when I took over the room), and am using a smaller, but taller, thinner dresser beside the bed for the time being. Once BiL gets 2" sawed off the wooden legs of the bed frame, I will look for a better bedside table at the right height I need.

Watching HGTV, and now Nannie is wondering what things WE have to move around and paint. I told her we didn't have to refurbish anything because she had put it all together and had done such a good job that nothing else was necessary.....which pleased her very much.

I am ready to divorce all of the spouse's on HGTV's House Hunters who are being so impossible about prices, room layouts, the yards.....they are the ones saying, "But" this and "but" that, like, 'it is not my style', 'I hate this color', 'the carpets have to go', and  'this bathroom is soooo out-dated', etc, etc. I figure if things are functional, it doesn't matter if they are "perfect". To bow up and say they won't move in unless the house is "move-in ready" is just plain silly.

I guess I should hush up, because I am once again being SO irritable about things I have not much control over. DANG! I know I can be happy, content, and NOT so irritable, but lately everything seems to set me off these days.  Ah me, God, please send me a miracle!!

Wow, nursej22, what a beautiful area!!  Thank you for the photos!!

No Stars, yes, the RIGHT glasses make a big difference!

We got the RV (I followed dh home), and then I did some grocery shopping.  This 'Eating Healthy' bit sure results in increased grocery trips, for fresh stuffs!  Yesterday I did some sewing repairs, and some steaming (ironing).

It was *only* 97 degrees today, w00t!!

Tweety, your sleep issues sound like mine.  Sleep 2, or 3, or 4 hours, then wake up and can't get back to sleep.  I am always 'thrilled' to get another 1.5 or 2 hr after that!  Meh.  It's the way it is.  Scratches to Slow-bro.

Joe, did the vet have any ideas or insights for you, about the cat?

Have a good evening!

No Stars, I SO agree with you re: the HGTV spouses!  (not that I watch the show, you understand...)  BUT, I am happy just to have a roof over our heads and thankful that the items within it that are important, are functional!  And that's the truth, PBPPPPPTTTTTTTT!

Gorgeous pictures, J22!

Stars, have you thought about hospice care? We've had Gma on hospice ... I do understand they can only recertify a certain number of times. And Lord knows she will probably just keep living. Anywho, Hubs finally checked into how respite care works. He *says* we can have 5 consecutive days every 2 months. IMO, that should be available to family caregivers even when the patient is not in hospice care.

Hubs bought a truck to replace the wrecked one.

If I had my druthers, I'd be watching different TV shows, but, you know, it's the same old Nannie-problem. She used to only want to watch real-crime and murder shows, but now she doesn't want to see them. Now, it's only HGTV, especially since America's Got Talent's season is over. She can't follow anything with a PLOT, like a movie, so that makes it tough. Thank goodness I like to do crossword puzzles.

I am so tired of myself. I'd really like a life of my own....I NEED a life of my own! Hoping that happens sooner rather than later.

For some reason, the post I already posted earlier came back, so I have deleted the repeat.
