Tweety I usually don't remember my dreams either

Ado he should definitely wear sun protection at all times

NJ22 not sure why they couldn't figure out it was the bicycle clipsgro

Stars glad things were peaceful there last night

Work was not bad yesterday, though I did get a new case at the end of the day.  Hoping today will be the same with no new cases.  Am a bit tired, as I didn't sleep as well as I normally do

After work decided to stop by the library and one of the grocery stores, so I won't  have to do that as well today.  Traffic was bad so I had to rush to get to the dinner with the gay group but got there on time.  Was a nice time there, and a good restaurant too.  Of all the Meetup groups I've tried so far I think I like this  one the best

Still trying to get the family reunion figured out, we have a location but still no agreement on dates.  Talked with dad, then emailed everyone asking what dates would work for them.  Hopefully we can find some in common

Tonight after work will do the remainder of the grocery shopping and stop at the post office.

Will be a hot day today close to 100

5 PM ~ Hubby is drowsing in his recliner, and Nannie is staring at the fake flowers on the mantle. She is kind of po'd because when she's asked me 3X about 'going into that room" (her bedroom) I told her it was way too early to go to bed, as she hasn't even had supper yet. I told her she can nap in her recliner, but apparently that doesn't suit her. What a FROWN!

I guess I better stir up hubby so I'll know what to do about supper. How 'bout I ignore supper until the  game comes on at 7:20 PM ?  Nah, I woke him up.

When I went up to start the nuking, and hubby came up to the kitchen, our Ms.Nannie got up out of her recliner (she remembered how to use the remote) and when I came back downstairs, she was on her bed, ready to take her slippers off! I got her back out into her recliner, and now she's eating her supper. She always wants to go to bed now between 4 and 5 PM, but when it is time for her to go to bed, she doesn't want to go. Figure that one out!

Guess I should probably go nuke something for myself---

Hi. I feel like I've been busy, but little to show for it. A quick jog to start the day. Then picked up sis to take her to her ortho appointment. She's still getting the "dizzies", so she tries to avoid driving. Ortho office was running an hour late, so she opted to reschedule, and then we went to the demo garden that we volunteer at. She used to go there every week, but hasn't felt well enough in over a year. She got to reconnect with her long time co-volunteers and to see all the changes in the gardens. Then I took her home and it was time for me to volunteer at the plant clinic. I was super hungry, so I swung by Starbucks and got some weird, over-priced iced coffee drink. I was at the plant clinic for 3 hours, and now home, getting ready to watch the debate.

Joe, that's really cool that you've found a group that you click with. I hope tonight is a better night for sleep.

I'm not sure what dinner will be. I'm thawing some chicken breasts in the microwave. But Im not feeling too inspired by those. Maybe dh will grill them and I can slap on some bbq seasoning.

Good evening.

Worked an overtime shift for time and a half plus $400 bonus.  I earned it.  Was so busy I had lunch at 5pm.  What job requires someone to work non-stop for 10 hours?  Bleh.......

The secretary gave me a $25 gift certificate to Starbucks that a patient brought in for me yesterday and a couple of people.  I'll use it just on plain old black coffee.  I didn't think we were supposed to accept these kinds of gifts but I wasn't going to say no and let them put it in the trash.

There may be a limit and that may be under the limit. Check your online HR or just go with it.  It's nice to be appreciated.

Hello all!

Joe, I agree, good you have found a group you click with.

nursej22, sounds like a busy day to me!  Nice of you to drive your sister.  What will you make with the chicken breasts?

Tweety, what a nice gift!  It is probably under the limit, yes.  Take it and enjoy it.

No Stars, hope your nuked dinner was good!  How is the game going?

I feel like I accomplished a lot today, but I really didn't, LOL!  I renewed our Disneyland Magic Passes.  I upgraded them so we get some Sundays and three weeks in the Christmas season, to enjoy the decorations.  Then I made reservations for Dapper Day (in November) and a date in September -- all with dh's blessing!  Later I went to the grocery store, then stopped by our favorite Chinese food place and picked up some food.  I ended up dropping the hot and sour soup, after I got it home, so wasted that!  Oh well...  We did have some of the Chinese food for dinner.

Not much else to report here.  I keep thinking of things to tell my sister, and then remember she is gone.  I may have some grieving to do, for a few months...  seems normal, though.

Have a good evening!

OY.

Hubby didn't fall, but he slid off the recliner (his isn't electric to help boost a person up) and after I tried to direct him to get him to scoot on his butt so he could hike up onto his butt one step at a time....and he couldn't even do that. His arms were weak, and his knees were giving out on him, he lost his breath, and just laid down on the floor, said he'd maybe have to sleep on the sofa tonight. But he couldn't even move by that point.... I called 911 and asked for them to send some stout guys to help him up off the floor and then up to his bed ( 9 steps and then 6 steps ). I swear, what a pain in the patoot.

And after he was on the bed, he said to me, "Can I come into your room and sit there to smoke a cigarette?" I said, "NO! You stay in bed and don't even think about getting up!"

I have to tell you though, I am anticipating that he is going to try to get up to go into the bathroom in a little while and I am not looking forward to that fiasco. Well, if I have to call 911 again, I will. Too bad, so sad.

The good news is that the Braves won tonight 7-0  ...  ? YAY!
