Weatherford College Spring 2015

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi just wanted to start new thread of anyone applying for the ADN May-July for admission into spring 2015 at Weathford College Main Campus. Lets support each other and help each other with any questions or concerns. How many points are y'all applying with? Does anyone know how many students they accept? When will we notified of acceptance or rejection?

I ended up with 35 points.

Everyone has to accept or decline their spot by Oct 3rd so maybe some of yall will hear good news this week!

I just got my letter and I'm an alternate too. I was going to go in Monday and ask how many alternates there were.

Did You find out how many alternates there are? Just curious.

14 alternates. Karen said she can't tell you where you are in line.

I had 35 points and I received an alternate position.

That's good! Hopefully you'll be in then. Because I got accepted to Weatherford, but I sent in my declination since I will be attending TCC. Let me know if you get the spot! Best of luck to you :)

Thank you! Good Luck in nursing school!!

Hello everyone! I am new to Fort Worth and am hoping to start WC next summer as well. The LVN to RN bridge... I am just curious because I just submitted my FAFSA and app for WC, since this was kind of short notice is everybody already done with their pre-reqs? I just wanted to see where y'all stand since I haven't even started mine I wanted to kind of gauge where I am. I have already taken my TEAS exam at my LVN school and I am hoping to use that but I don't understand the point system so hopefully when I go check out the school this week I can get a better understanding of it. Thanks yall! :)

I'm not sure how competitive the LVN-RN transition is for acceptance...but for the ADN program I (and the others I know who were accepted this time) have completed EVERY class that you can get points for. I have actually completed every class for the BSN program I plan to apply for afterward.

As for the points system, It changed again for the next application period so that your TEAS scores are weighed more heavily than they were this period. If you feel like you can improve your TEAS scores then I would suggest retaking it. I took it twice and got a much better score the second time. WC also has a good resource for studying for the TEAS. It is called skills tutor or something like that....i would definitely ask about that when you go visit the school. I had to go to the success connection to sign up. I credit most of my improvement to using that to study the second time around....it was awesome practice.

I received alternate letter and Karen called me on Friday, Oct. 3rd and offered me a position in the program... which I gladly took! So, good luck to all the fellow alternates and congrats to all those who have been accepted! I had 35 points, all my BSN classes completed and scored fairly well on the TEAS. Looking forward to seeing everyone at orientation!

Congrats! What was your teas score if you don't mind me asking. Just trying to see where I stand.

My overall was a 73% so it could have been a good deal better, but considering I went in with an infected wisdom tooth that came out the next day I took it gladly (I was serious pain). I have no idea everything they take into consideration, but I do have my bachelor's degree from UNT and none of my points are from location, b/c I'm in Tarrant County.

A 73% is good considering a 64.3 is national average. Was it exactly 73? Or 73. Something, bc I have 35 points and 73.3%.

Just curious.
