Published

Hello everyone! So I have decided in my nursing program pursuit that I am going to go ahead and apply to the weatherford college lvn program and then bridge. Does anyone know what kind of schedules we will have? Trying to get an idea of work schedule vs school schedule. I am also going to take the compass help class to get a feel for it but im wondering if I should go on and try to take I it this week also just to get an idea what its like?? Anywho, if theres anyone else out there that will be applying with me come say hi! Oh also I will be commuting from masfield let me know if I have any close buddies for study groups if we get in!

I am also going to take the compass this week for the LVN program and I also live in Mansfield. :) Weird I haven't seen too many posts on this website about the upcoming semester!

Oh my gosh yay!!!! I am going to take the compass seminar class on the 18th before I take the test so I have some practice and know what to expect. I'm so excited! If we get in we can make study sessions :)

The compass was a lot easier that I thought it was going to be. I mean way easier, I almost had over 90's in both. If you study the practice Compass test they provide you will be very well prepared! I was so nervous. I hardly studied and did well on the test. Good luck to you. :)

Well that makes me feel a lot better! :)

Hi ladies! I am taking my compass exam tomorrow! Any pointers or suggestions? Im super nervous, I haven't had too much time to really review much because I was hoping I got into the nursing program at TCC but I received my letter today and didn't get in :( any information would be greatly appreciated!

I went to the compass workshop today and it's not difficult math but you need to make sure you remember order of operations, fractions and really read the word problems. Good luck I'm taking mine Monday

Awesome thanks for the heads up! I apologize ahead of time if I ask too many questions lol I can't find any information online.

Did they state if there is algebra, geometry and trig on there too? Or is it just pre-algebra stuff? I printed their compass test info sheet and it stated pre algebra only but they have a whole section on algebra so I wanted to double check. Here is the link. https://www.wc.edu/public/upload/files/academics/Compass-Test.pdf

Also, did they say how many questions there is?

Thanks again!

No such thing as too many questions lol. As far as the number of questions the test is computer generated and adds questions as you go if you're doing well one of the girls there said the first time she took it and did poorly the test ended after only thirty minutes but then someone else who did well on it said it gave her enough questions to take about an hour. Most of the problems are 8th grade level math, arithmetic, percentages, fractions and a little bit of pre algebra but one of the teachers said that she has had a few students come back and tell them that after doing well on the test there were a couple algebra type questions but if it's giving you those you're probably doing well lol cuz the test generated problems based on how you're doing
