Weatherford ADN Fall 2015

Published

Hi everyone. Just wanted to start a post for the 2015 Associates degree of Nursing Fall program at Weatherford College and see who else will be applying!

I have 31 points before my TEAS. I probably wont be taking it for a couple more months. I've finished all of my pre and co requisites and have my 15 hours of BSN credits so I'm super excited to finally be able to apply :)

I wonder what the point cut off will be this semester? I'm hoping to get at least 6 points off my TEAS but 8 would be great! Comment if you're applying this upcoming semester! Cant wait!

Did you talk to financial aid office?

@ damon.street , I visited with KL today as the certifiedbackgroundcheck people rejected my flu shot as well. She did an override on it and is now complete. I mentioned to her that you had the same issue. She said she will fix it.

So, now I am almost complete besides physicals . So ready to get all over with and enjoy summer lol

Awesome thank you sooooooooo much!!!!

What does the R stand for on the schedule? Rotating??? I am trying to figure out our fall semester schedule as I am going to need to get childcare. Specifically which days I will need childcare and whether they are full or half days.

@student0

Idid go to financial aid, they just said that if you are at least half time, you should get full pell . meaning at least 6 hrs. That still don't sound correct to me . I'll dig deeper though.

@student0

I asked a graduate nurse from WC, She said that they adjusted her pell due to hours... so now, the answer to our question is that we will NOT receive the full pell. For me, I will now be taking loans it looks like...

I hope this helps.

R is thursday

you would think they would use TH or TR but no....Just R lol

Tues 9-5

Wed 8-5

Thurs 6:30-3:30 (Clinical)

Fri 9-5

MY guess is that friday afternoons will be sim lab time (DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT because we didn't get sim lab time this semester but I heard they were trying to schedule some for first semester next time) but it's listed on the schedule under clinical like our sim lab day is listed (second semester). That would be awesome....I think the sim labs are fun (from the TEENY BIT we experienced them)

Thank you so much @TLizS!!! Really appreciate your help and insight!

Thank you so much @TLizS!!! Really appreciate your help and insight!

not a problem at all...I remember how nerve racking, uncertain, everything felt last year....I don't mind sharing what little bit of info I now know to make things clearer for yall!

Why does it appear that the two hour prof nursing competences class is blocked off as an 8a-5p class??? Is that right?

I'm sure it is...our PN competencies class was 8-12 on wed and friday (so 8 hours blocked off per week)

This was our first semester just to give you an idea of the times blocked off for each class

Tues - Intro to HC concepts 8:00-9:00

HC concepts 9:00-5:00

WED - PN competencies 8:00-12:00

PN concepts 1:00-2:00

Thurs Clinical I 6:30-2:30 (every other week)

Fri - PN competencies 8:00-12:00

I don't have the printed schedule in front of me to say for sure how much that varied from what was listed online....

This is a round about look at the schedule it COULD vary a little bit from what they show...at orientation they will give you a final nailed down look at the schedule......but this is a pretty good idea of what it will look at

Thank you again! You are a lifesaver and your help has been invaluable! Seriously. Much appreciated!
