WCJC Sugarland Nursing 2019

Hey everyone,

Anyone else apply for the nursing program at Wharton in Sugarland for Spring 2019?

I also applied to HCC since I also go there! But was waitlisted. If you don't mind me asking, what made you change your mind?

TEAS SCORES:

80.7% Reading

93.8% Math

70.2% Science

Because of their passing rates. They have been low for the past couple of years and I cannot risk not passing. I am so bummed I did not get an email but after this Fall semester is over I would still need 7 classes for BSN, if I pass the ones I am in now. Just need to try again.

I still feel my email is pending lol.

My TEAS scores were:

Science- 80.9%

Math- 100%

Reading- 83%

Program GPA: 3.70

Overall GPA: 3.13

You should email (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME ) on Monday! Your scores are pretty good so I don't see why they wouldn't accept you.

It might be pending like you said or it might be in spam

Was the email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) directly? I don't know. Maybe the extra points for finishing prerequisites are much higher than TEAS scores. Trust me I checked EVERYWHERE and refreshed 100 times, as did my friend.

Yes! It was from her and the ADN director. I received at 12pm. Maybe they haven't finished sending the rest out yet. Most schools well at least send you the status of your apps. On the application they stated that the BSN requirements would be like bonus points.

I would not get down on that. I think if people decline their acceptance they will move down the list. Or maybe they didn't get time to get all the emails out. I haven't received An email yet either

I agree. My friend didnt get an email either. I'll just wait and if not, then I will still keep going. Means I'll have a little more time to finish the rest of my prerequisites and bring up my GPA more. Next go around I can apply here and other colleges. Keep me posted, if you receive anything.

Yes I will keep you updated and you do the same... my program gpa wasn't great bc I took a lot of classes 10+ years ago fresh into college and had my priorities mixed up, changed my major.... I also already have a bachelors and i am BSN complete. My overall gpa of 166 college hours is 3.02 and program reqs 2.91.... my past grades dramatically affect my gpa (my business school gpa is 3.7 )

I did 84 teas total

Math 89

Science 90

Reading 72 (bummed that I ran out of time)
