Who else is waiting on a letter from Wcccd for the fall? I am getting really anxious!
keep doing you and keep your eyes on the prize. forget about other people's opinion! what ever happened to the saying that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all??
abso-youknowwhat-lutely!! keep doing what you are doing and eyes straight ahead! we all sit for the same exam!! the wccccd rn's, the hfcc rn's, even the bsn rns!!!!!
here is something else to consider, along this line: you reallyreallyreally have to watch what you say about other people in your nursing program, and really, other programs in general. if you're a hater (i love that word, it's so dumb) it will come back to bite you in the bum! :troll:you may have those people in your next clinical, and find out that you lurve them! or, they may be in your externship program at your local hospital! then you are really stuck with them!! you know how that blows. :barf01:best to be friendly with everyone - it will come back to when you least expect it. honest. find out for yourself if someone has faults - don't take others' words for it. just slap a smile on your face and love everybody. :smiley_aa it's much easier, and you'll look prettier, too.
keep your eyes and ears open, and your mouth shut!! live by that, and things are so much easier.
Syncere! You are so right! Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. As far as WCCCD goes, their accredidation is with the MBON and that is all that is needed to get licensed in Michigan. I have the same plans as you do, although I have not applied yet to the nursing program (doing that this September for January entry) I do plan on going as far as I can go. I actually want to teach nursing so I need my MSN with teaching credentials. I will teach clinicals with my BSN while I am working on my MSN! The skies the limit for us all! Keep your eye on the prize...I like that quote! :)
Teaching sounds interesting. There are so many specialties that I would like to experiment with...L&D, oncology, Peds, travel nursing...I want to do them all! That's what I love about nursing...there are just so many possibilities!
Keep your eyes and ears open, and your mouth shut!! Live by that, and things are so much easier.
I totally agree! I'm usually the one who tries to get along with everyone and remain neutral. I hate drama and like you said, you have to be careful because you never know when or where you may see that person again. I'm very observant when it comes to people and can usually spot the bad apples a mile away. I'm friendly, helpful, and respectful and treat people as I would want to be treated. Besides that, who has time for drama or anything else when you're a nursing student? I would much rather devote my time to my studies than some mess that might come back to bite you in the you know what!!:trout:
