i received my letter today. i got in! did anyone else get their letter yet?

omg, congratulations! i didn't know the letters were going out soo soon! let me call home and see if i got anything in the mail. i'm anxious and scared at the same time! :uhoh21:

I got in !!!! Ahhh! I'm sooo excited. July 30th will be here before we know it for orientation! I better get cracking on that CPR class!!! YAY!!

CONGRATS everyone!!!! I wonder what was the GPA cut off? My girlfriend thinks it was 3.3 GPA. Does anyone know for sure?

CPR certification (BLS for health professionals) is a requirement for my job, so I am set on that. But a question for you guys, do you all get a negative reaction when people find out that you attend WCCCD? What's that about, I am a very proud WCCCD student.

cpr certification is also required for my job, but not the one that is needed for the program. but, i feel you on the negative reactions when you tell people that you're attending wcccd. the first thing that people ask about is their accreditation status. i had this one lady tell me that i wouldn't be able to get a job if i graduated from there. mind you, these reactions have mostly came from people who have never attended any college or are working minium wage an hour jobs. i mean who are they to tell me something when they haven't and or not trying to do anything with their lives?? i just brush it off because for one it is not anyone's decision but my own's to determine where i go to school because no one is paying my tuition but me. secondly, wcccd is going to be a stepping stone for me because i plan on going as high as i can. it may take a while, but my school plans include a master's degree in nursing. the next school that i attend will be accreditated, so that is all that matters to me.

keep doing you and keep your eyes on the prize. forget about other people's opinion! what ever happened to the saying that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all?? :uhoh3:
