so are you taking classes this semester?

which campus is the best?:)

Specializes in M/S, MICU, Hospice, Homecare.

I am taking three classes this semester. Chem 105, Math 155, and His 152 (all for a bachelors). I go to the Western campus because it is closer to home and that is where the Chem teacher I wanted was teaching. My favorite campus is probably Northwest only because I love the vintage "stand by me" feel to it. However, I think there are pros and cons to all campuses. I would suggest choosing the campus based on which classes you need to take and which professor is best.

How about you? What classes are you taking and which campus do you like best.

I am a Senior Nursing student with one semester to go, graduating in December and this is my 4th year at WCCCD. I started out slow with my pre-req's and built up to four classes a semester, as I was 38 when I went back to college.

Each person has a preference for which campus they like best. I was always biased to Western, as I grew up very close by there, and I absolutely hate the N.W. campus. It is in ill repair, broken windows, it floods frequently, there are shady characters roaming around campus, including homeless people, and one nursing student had all four wheels stolen off of her truck in the parking lot, during the day. To each their own though, and we will be in a new campus come fall, at the old U of D Mercy campus on Southfield and Joy Road. I wish you the best of luck and enjoy your experience in school. I am happy that I will soon be out of there and working as a RN. Have a great summer.

David,

I have taken a few classes at the downriver campus and I liked it. My only complaint is that there just didn't seem to be too much going on at that campus. It might have just been that semester. I have not taken classes at the downtown campus, but I was just there for the pinning ceremony for two of my friends and they had us seated right next to the subway in the atrium. We all thought, "hey they have a subway right on campus....why don't the rest of the campuses have this luxury?" LOL Anyway, western has been my most frequented campus and I feel like more of my home campus if that makes sense.

I took most of my pre and co-reqs downriver, I liked it becasue it was close to home, and a nice campus. There are no Nursing classes held there, or at the Downtown campus though.

The Downriver Campus also has a sub shop..if I am not mistaken, it is a Blimpies?

Actually it is Southfield Fwy and Outer Dr. We all drove by there after we went to the Application meeting on Monday and the campus looks nice, but it seems to need some work and they haven't done anything with it. Fall semester is going to be here before they know and nothing is going to be done. :uhoh21:

Really? It's been a couple years since I have been to the DR campus. I never noticed a sub shop there, but if they do then that is awesome! Are the prices comparable to an off campus store?

Im taking pharm at the northwest campus but I like the eastern campus.
