I am in my 3rd semester and I was at Beaumont grosse pointe for Med Surg I, Harper hospital for Med Surg II, Hutzel hospital for OB, Henry Ford Main for Med Surg III, and im at Kingswood now for Psych. :wink2:

I got my happy letter last year at this time, the waiting is hard but well worth it. Good luck to you all and remember time flies so make the best of it, I am almost half way through. :wink2:

Beaumont says that they are losing money from having more patients with medicare and less patients with commercial insurance. Their CEOs and physicians are taking 10% pay cuts, they issued a hiring freeze in september and they are laying off 100 non direct patient care employees and 65 direct care patient care employees.

I made it through med/surg II with a B. On to OB, although I was glad for the break.

Nurseegurl thanks a lot, now I know why she acts the way she does. She is very anal and talks about students cheating a lot and the tests have gotten harder. The class average on the last test was 72/74. She tossed out some questions so that brought my score to a 78.:wink2:

I highly recommend Caroline Peltz. She is wonderful.

Thats what I was expecting but they didn't seem to be NCLEX style questions. I didnt understand her answers for some of the questions and I need to follow up with her on Monday.

I am with you there I took my first test on wednesday and I got a 74% when passing is a 75%. I was prepared for the test but when I took it nothing that I concentrrated on was on the test. Hopefully I do better next time.

Ok so I made to Med Surg II at WCCCD but im terribly afraid of the grading scale. With only three test there is absolutely no wiggle room. If anyone has any helpful tips or comments at all please feel free to leave them and I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Im taking pharm at the northwest campus but I like the eastern campus.

At Beaumont the nurse techs wear seafoam green and the RNs wear blue.

Hello all, im considering taking pharmacology in the summer but I would like to also work close to full time hours in addition. My question is how difficult was pharmacology to you and do you think its a good idea to take it in the summer and work or take it in the fall with med surg II clinical and lec/ ob clinical and lecture?
