2013 Wayne State

Hello! I'm planning on applying for the traditional BSN. I've taken a lot of my pre-reqs already at HFCC, and will be starting at WSU in a couple weeks!

If you search teh section thee is actually quite a few WSU threads. I have a friend in teh program now. Good Luck!!! Its a great program.

I've found a lot of info about Wayne State on here, the admissions staff at the CON are very helpful too. Jelson, have you been to an info session yet? I missed the last one because I was out of town, but plan on going to the next one in September. WSU's BSN is my 1St choice, but I've been looking into possibly applying to OU and EMU as to cast my net a little further...

I have seen a lot of posts about WSU but there doesn't seem to be a lot of people who post often, I was hoping to see some people who might be taking their pre-reqs at WCCCD and then applying to WSU. Toledo Univeristy is my plan B, but I am really hoping to get into WSU.

I have been to the info. meeting, it's good to go, but mostly they just go over the same things you can find online. But certainly good to go if you have questions, when I went they had an advisor there to help answer general questions.

I already have a degree and I am trying to decide which program at Wayne that I want to apply for, I like the idea of taking it slowly over 3 years, but of course the accelerated appeals to me as well.

What pre-reqs are you taking?

I'm taking chem I&II, and micro. Yeah I haven't seen to many other Wayne students on here, seems they come out of the woodwork around the time admission decisions are being made. :)

I'm currently doing pre-req's at WCCCD but I'm trying to find a program that will allow me to still work at my current job either two or three days a week. I work days and I'm within a mile of the WSU campus so I'm hoping this might work out. I'm older and single so I have no one that can help me financially so I need to find a program where I can work as close to full time as possible. I like that this program has summer classes and alternates between full time and part time.

If anyone could let me know what the schedule is like I would appreciate it. Thanks

I looked at the course schedule awhile back and if you take the WSU traditional program and you have already completed EVERYTHING except nursing course, it would be possible to schedule a few days of work into your routine. You would also have summers off. Hope that helps.

Thank you! That does help, I will check into it further!

If you apply to the school you should get a log in for Pipeline...kinda like webgate at WCCCD. Then you can look up past years schedules.

hey I had a quick question, seeing that having a 3.5 GPA is good or higher, my sciences are 3.5 but my psychs weren't so good, could you get in having good science GPAs ?? stressing here
