Anybody attending WCC or going to be applying there? I'm on track to apply for the Spring nursing program. First I have to take the PAX on July 6 and keep my fingers crossed that I pass!

I will be taking the PAX-RN on July 22nd and submitting my application the same day. I hope it is as easy as the TEAS was.

My grades are

ENG 101 A

ENG 102 B

BIO 270 A

BIO 272 B

PSY 100 B

PSY 205 A

COM 100 A

I HAVE MY CPR/BLS CARD

I AM CURRENTLY TAKING BIO 250 MICROBIOLOGY I'M NOT DOING TOO GOOD IN IT. WHAT DO YOU THINK MY CHANCES OF GETTING IN IF I GET A "C" IN MICROBIOLOGY BUT DO WELL ON THE PAX-RN?

Who is your instructor, I finished with an A just last semester and would be more than happy to help! PAX RN is fairly easy know your chemistry from anatomy, physics formulas and biology there is not really too much micro on the test maybe one or two questions however each test is different! Know your math basic algebra and geometry and you will be fine! I received a composite score of 155 and scored 99%.

If you get a C in micro they will let you in, the requirements are a C or better.

Specializes in ICU, step down, dialysis.

Moved to IL State Nursing Programs.

The learning center can set students up with an online tutoring program called Plato to help folks study for the PAX-RN. Not sure how helpful it is since I didn't take it, but I don't think it costs anything to give it a shot.

Thanks a lot . They did hook me up with a Plato log in. The math so far is easy. I'm worried about physics.

In taking it out of state and I hope it transfers. My grade has came up to a low "B", its almost over and I hope to keep my grade where it is it higher .

Specializes in ICU, Radiology,Infectious Disease,Forensic Nursing.

As long as you pass your PAX with them you will get it. If you score low, you might not get in the first semester you try, but if you reapply the next, they will make you a priority. They told me if people scored low that it would not take more then two semesters. I did not end up applying there, but I did take the PAX after studying for only 3 days for it and I got a really decent score. It's pretty much exactly to the book.

I am so stressed about taking the PAX RN and i don't even have to take it for awhile...

I am learning disabled in math and Barley passed Algebra/geometry ... and I never went farther than that in Math.

I'm really concerned and debating changing my major.. I'm already and LPN but when i became an LPN these stupid tests were not necessary.....

So irritated

Has anyone done the ASN Transfer from Waubobsee to Aurora University?
