Hi everyone!
I am scheduled to take the HESI A2 on Feb 14. Anybody else hoping to get in this year? Also, are there any current students that could give us some insight on the pre-admissions test and the application process? Any info would be helpful!
Thanks. :)
I just can't get over the price. If I ever decide to attend this school, I will have to figure out how to pay for the program. I do work, but I will not be able to save that much before beginning (hopefully soon). I have a bachelor degree, so I would only receive loans. (I think the maximum is $12,500?). I would have to have a rich family or do a payment plan (if there is a payment plan and if I could afford the payments. lol).
I think its well worth it with everything the program offers you. You said the key words "living below my means". Lifestyle plays a huge roll into this which is probably why they put such a heavy emphasis on support systems. Working OT and pre diem jobs is my plan as well (pending my acceptance) if my scholarships and finical aid doesn't cover everything. Btw BeachyRN2Be, didn't you just finish up your first semester?
Are there any schools like this in Charlotte this schools is 2 hrs from me
Since Mercy is closing after its current class graduates and being absorbed by Carolinas Health System (I forget what their school is off the top of my head) it looks to be that Watts is the only diploma program left in NC.
I didn't use all of my federal loans with my first degree so I'm using Stafford loans now and paying off the interest while I'm in school. My parents are financing the rest of the amount (about $7k I think). They are always sending out emails about scholarships we may be interested in applying for, as well. I know a lot of people in my class are privately financing, using tuition reimbursement through their job at Duke, etc.

Oh I absolutely love it. I am so glad I decided to go to Watts.
