Watts school of nursing - spring 2018

Published

Hey all!

I was wondering how many of you will be applying to Watts for the spring 2018 term. I will be taking my hesi on the 25th of September and then will be submitting the rest of my application when I get my results back. Does this seem like an okay time frame to apply to the January semester?

Any advice is welcomed and much needed!

@Kpitsicalis, Thank you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I just keep moving forward.

Good luck QuinnRN20. Yeh it took 2 months for me too. Its a long process. It took two weeks to get the background check form and three weeks for me to get accepted after that but you never know. If not than I'm sure June would be a great start also. Time is going by so fast. I'm sure you'll do wonderful in the test. Keep us posted.

Hey kpitsicalis did you have your meeting yet with UMO? Had mines yesterday. See you January 11 at the group orientation.

Do you know if the school accepts a background check that was done in the last 3months? I had a background check for CNA class and I just got a part time CNA job where they ran a background check too. I'm sure I could get a copy...

You should call the school and see. When i went to the information session i think it was required that everyone complete their background check through Watts but wont hurt to call and see.

Got a 94% overall on the HESI. Everything went out in the mail this week and transcripts were ordered. I'm pushing the limits for sure! I'm wondering if they expedite the process at this late stage....I still need to email about the background check to see if they'll accept one that was done by another company. Fingers crossed that I can still get in.

Good job on the hesi Quinn my fingers are crossed for you. Keep us posted. Hope you make it in. Good luck!

Thank you! They don't accept a background check other than their own.... I'm thinking that my acceptance won't be until the Fall of 2018... Only one semester delayed so that's ok.

Yeh just one semester. At least you did everything you're suppose to do.

I hope so! I also applied to Duke's Accelerated Bachelor's in Nursing program. I won't find out about that until April....just a waiting game now.

Well, good luck! I'm sure what's meant to happen will and you'll be more than ready and happy with what happens next. I know how it feels to wait and wait so hang ln there. Have a great weekend!

Thank you! I hope you have a great weekend also!
