Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

What if we all agree and email him and ask for the PowerPoint slides ahead of time. That would really help in giving us more direction! Everyone up for it? It's gotta make an impact, 1 request isn't gonna work!

And...I totally agree. I've done great until tonite and this one just

blew me... ruins my whole weekend.

On second thought....he's being quite generous about giving us

as much info as he does, but I don't think it's an unreasonable request.

Also, if he is stuck on five pages for our final, or if 3 or 4 would be okay?

Count me in if "someone else" will make the first comment, I'll back 'em.

Keyna: you're right he is extremely generous and pleasant. We aren't going to attack him though, just kindly request if he would consider providing us with the slides prior to class.

sorry i dropped the ball on that one.. i was going to bring it up to him after the class but kinda blanked...

I still think that we should leave good enough alone. I don't read the book anymore...Why??? There is simply too much info to mentally record and there is absolutely no way to highlight and pick out what "Might" be important. When he gives the slidshots, use the time to study what he says is important. I have to remind myself that this is not a class built on recallection. We don't have to know any of this weeks info for the next class. Maybe I'm crazy but I think now that asking him to post the slides is a bad idea.

I think it could be iffy, too. He may get the impression we want to memorize the slides and not do the reading ( which is a lot of reading) and in turn start quizzing from the reading, which I think would be much harder.....

Yeah, now that I think about it...I'm good with continuing on with the way it currently is. Once you develop a system, why mess with the goods. I we ask him to send out the pp slides to us early, the amount of info that he asks of us could change....not saying it will. I think he's a fair teacher an have really gotten used to his teaching style. I got a 87 on the first exam....I might have missed one t/f on this one. I like my odds of pulling a good grade in this class. Tried something new on this last test and it worked like a charm. Will tell privately but not open forum. Some of the best students that I have known aren't the smartest people in the world....they just figure out what the professor is looking for and subsequently give it to him.
