Watts School of Nursing June

Published

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

On a different note, what in the name of Zeus's B-Hole is the point of pascals triangle. I did the numbers and colored the even's in and poooffff....exactly what am I looking at again?????? How do you describe nothing. I see some patterns, but nothing more.

I'll track all of you down on tues, if not thurs night. I'm bound by the 15 post law to be able to privately reply to all of everyone. So until then....I'll continue writing about junk. But I was serious about the pp slides and pascals.....of course.

I think it could be iffy, too. He may get the impression we want to memorize the slides and not do the reading ( which is a lot of reading) and in turn start quizzing from the reading, which I think would be much harder.....

I thought about that too! To alleviate that doubt from his mind he can always post it just 1-2 days before class?

I don't know!!! I have mixed emotions! The side of me that wants an A is saying yes, ask for slides!! The other more rational side is saying to leave well enough alone.

Ugh!!

I did the not read and just cram during class thing for one quiz for the last class... needless to say it bit me in Zeus' b-hole... lol... sorry about the last part, but that had me in stitches... one of my reasons for being reluctant to ask him is who knows how he'll react... he might see our side of it but then again he may not, and it's going to leave some kind of thought in his mind be it good or bad... i'm already planning to debate a couple of his questions because i think they were a bit ambiguous, trying to pick my battles i guess...

The math project is a foreign language to me, anyone know how to start it?

I know I've asked this before but ......WHERE IN THE WORLD DO YOU FIND PEER-REVIEWED JOURNAL ARTICLES!!!!

And then have it relate to a research study that I can understand without having to look up every other word in the dictionary.

I've been on NCLive all day and I'm ready to throw my computer through the window...:nuke:

ok...I'm done.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!:bowingpur

Red,

I go to the ASP section of NCLive and do a boolean search,

mark all the boxes for peer reviewed, date....

up at the top, put study of breastfeeding (because we always talk about breasts in class :) or whatever you want to ready about.

It took me quite a while to find something too.

If you're already doing all that....I don't know what to tell you.

I haven't started my second one yet, but I was going to search for observational studies, development studies, _______ through the life span.... until I found something interesting or at least readable.

PS...it's Friday - take a break!

red,

it took me forever just to find my last article on NC live, one of the main reasons is because i couldn't understand half of what they were talking about!!! once you find one in plain english it's a lot easier!

thanks guys..... I am trying to do the article thing for the next two weeks...just to get it out of the way... I finished the "pamphlet" thing today. I've just spent so much time "looking" for something to review......sooooo frustrating!!

I know it's Friday but I spent the night at the ER with the little one last night....cracked the back of her head open on the coffee table..

The science daily website is good. Peer reviewed mostly means something trustworthy. You can also google American journal of psychiatry.

Science daily for me too!

Oh no!! I hope your little one is ok!!

Lynne: do our references have to be from 2000+ for SOC?
