congrats jx3! so how many of us on this forum does that make?

Congrats!!!!

Thankfully, they are ok with waiting until i arrive to see me. I go in May 10th!

Hola!!!

My name is Natashia and I'm also starting in May. I've been extremely nervous about working while going to school, anyone else working? Any ideas on how to financially survive? Any idea how the schedule is going to be after the first semester?

Tons of questions sorry... :D

look forward to seeing everyone May 23rd!

nata- well welcome and congrats!!! :yeah:

Welcome nata- looking forward to meeting you!!

From what I understand, it's a m-f 9-5 gig. Working is not recommended. There might be days we finish earlier depending in the class and when we are in clinicals. Otherwise, our new home will be the Watts campus.

I know its early on to ask this, but Do any of you plan on getting your BSN afterward?

Lady- absolutely! kinda scary that the ADN's are going away... may as well get it out of the way

Totally agree!! I want to get started immediately after being done and taking the bd exam. I'll probably just do an online program... I think UNC has one that takes 16 mths.

Anyone know are expected graduation time?

Anyone know are expected graduation time?

Believe it should be Jan 2013.

Jx3boys~ Congrats!! Doesn't it feel awesome knowing you don't have to wait anymore?? I think the two of us must've been the last two in.

I'm in for the "get together". Just let me know where and when and what to bring.

Someone asked about working while in school....I have a lot of friends that are nurses and physicians and they all say the same thing "if you can get away without working, then do it!" There's so much studying to do on your own and if you get behind it's hard to catch back up. And being that I haven't been in school for over 25 years, I'm out of practice. That mixed with the challenges of having kids ranging from 21 down to 3 is going to add to my challenge. I gave my notice at work but they said that I can pick up shifts whenever I want.

Is anyone in charge of setting up the get together?
