Watts School of Nursing June

Published

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

I don't know the program there but can't you finish there?

Hopefully I can but there is a lot of non sense that you have to go thru in order to get in the Nursing portion. For example, lets say I have 30 points after I finish my pre reqs. If you have 31 points, then you knock me out and I have to try again next year.

Looking at the breakdown of my test scores...I did great on my verbal, and non verbal but I didnt do so well in math. Was there anyone that just skipped the math problems and still did well? Just curious.

Oh man, that stinks!! Yea, you're better off finding someplace else!

As for the math, yes, I skipled around a lot! I didn't want to waste time on the ones I wasn't certain of. The spatial I knew like the back of my hand, so I decided to put most of my focus on those. If I saw a math problem I could figure out quickly, then I did it. It is worth retaking, especially since it's only one part of the exam. I say study some more -you have an advantage now that you know what to expect.

Let us know what you decide...

Oh man, me and my two little girls have been sick for Over a week and I didn't realize that you all were going tO get hit with such a massive storm!! Hope everyone is ok!!!

just got back from my meeting with dr. c- here's how it went...

they accepted my history, algebra (thank goodness!), english and sociology credits. so i have added music appreciation (i thought this was a good way to start) and marriage and family (??) online. the schedule seems pretty doable.

here's the schedule-

mus 250 5/30- 7/03 online

psy 100 6/2- 6/30 thursday

soc 230 7/11-8/14 online

psy 330 7/1408/11 thursday

bio 253 8/23-11/8 tuesday

rel 200 11/03-12/01

it was a very overwhelming meeting for me- i am sure i'll have more questions as the time gets closer to start paying- i am not sure what exactly i will owe.

there are currently 45 (or 48, i can't remember) students and i believe the class is closed.

oh, and AAndroes- is your name angela? i think you called while we were meeting.

so that's all. can't wait to get started and meet you all!

Jammama: how old are the pre-req's that they accepted?

old. i started college in 1986, took a few years off and then went to a community college after that- no later than 1990 or so...

Oh that's great news for me!! Mine are from 99, so I was concerned I wouldn't get a lot of credits...

might need a new roof...

no this isn't me taping! but this is in my neighborhood

Congrats on the classes Jamma, i have to admit i was a little confused after my meeting too...
