Watches

Hey guys!

This is kinda stupid, but I need to find a good watch with a second hand for my clinicals when I start in the spring. So far the only watch I've seen that I think will work good is the Swiss extreme (extreme II) with the black face and band. I wanted some ideas of the types of watches you guys use.

I'm a female, but I wear a man's watch from Wally World. Why? Because the model I like has nice large legible numbers (no Roman numerals or slashes or dots), a stop-second hand (as opposed to a sweep-second hand), and the two main hands glow in the dark. It's not honkin' big, and I like it better than any of the women's watches I have seen. This model started out at $6.99 about nine years ago. I think they're $9.99 now and worth every penny :D.

I buy (and re-buy) these watches because they're practical and inexpensive. If I lost one or damaged it somehow, it wouldn't break my heart.

They last about four years. I own two at a time, so I always have a spare. When one of then gives out, I buy a new one so I still have two. This system really works well. I'm going to keep doing it this way until I can't find my favorite model anymore. Then I'll try to find something else I like and, once again, tuck an extra one away for a spare.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. What brand is it? I'd love to get one.

I think it's a Timex. It's gold with a flex band, and I love it.

I am a new new nursing student. My clinical instructor insists that we use a watch with a "sweep second hand" that DOES NOT TICK. I have looked in several retial stores and websites. Many, many retialers claim that their watches are "sweep second hand" but ALL of the second hands TICK at each second. Where can I find a watch with TRUE SWEEP SECOND HAND? Please help!

I really like that G-Shock watch! I'm going to put it on my "Wish List" :D
